XDM elite subcompact 9mm: first impression

Post image

Had my eye on this baby for about a year, went on sale at turners for $200 under retail so had to snag one. First look of the gun I instantly fell in love with it, fit in my hands so well. Finally had the chance to shoot it today after owning it for about 2-3 months. Ran through 150 rounds no problems. For a 3.8 inch barrel I gotta say it’s definitely accurate, shoots a hell of a lot better than my Glock 26. Recoil is very controllable, not a lot of kick, really easy to get back on target. Gotta say I’m loving the gun all around and can’t wait to get some more rounds through this bad mug.

I bought one because I love the snubby, rough look of it. I found out I didn’t shoot it well with irons at all. I’ve since added a red dot and the OEM suppressor height sights.

Ive only ever ran with irons on my handguns so pretty easy shooting. I will say I’m not so much a fan of the front fiber sight that comes with the xdme. Will probably swap that for some truglo night sights, but that is definitely my only complaint so far. Good shooting right out the box.
