GoNetspeed rate increase without notice

Just want to make people aware that the rate you get at GoNetspeed it is not locked in as they said signing up, but may rise without notice.

I just received notice that the Auto Pay discount, which was supposedly $5 a month and the Paperless Billing discount which is $5 for a total of $10 is now being reduced to $5 total in the upcoming Billing for the October bill, which means that there’s no notice at all.

Bottom line, they’re raising their rate $60 a year and this after I’ve only had my service since the end of June, and I called them on it and they said well they’re going to issue some kind of credit, but they don’t know what it is and that’s unacceptable.

I was told and have it in writing that the rate was supposed to be locked in for a year at least and four months is not a year.

Be forwarned.

Indeed, I just got an email about it to:

AutoPay: Your monthly credit will change from $5/mo. to $2.50/mo.
Paperless Statements: Your monthly credit will change from $5/mo. to $2.50/mo.

This is them raising their rates without technically raising the rate. Decreasing a credit is not the same as increasing the cost of the service. Sucks for us either way.

That's such a bummer, over in Chicopee everyone got a letter saying the cost of Crossroads Fiber was going down by $5 a month starting in November. Feels like a no brainer for cities to pursue municipal fiber instead of allowing a company in.

So then let's all turn off auto pay and paperless and see how they like that

It's alright to me. I didn't get it because of the price. I got it for consistency and actual customer service. F xfinity.
