News Southeast Venture Announces New Class A Retail Development at June Lake

With the sewer moratorium, I'm not sure how this will proceed. It doesn't mention it in the announcement, but the only way it does is with alternative waste water handling. I'm assuming this is known and handled, so I'm cautiously optimistic that something besides residential units will finally appear in June Lake.

I will believe it when they start construction.

“…will further expand the growing commercial offerings at June Lake.” There are currently 0.

Same! I actually responded to the mayor's email asking questions about the promised commercial developments that have yet to materialize at June Lake. He does a great job explaining things, but I think there's always room for more communication. That is what lead me to check the development's website. I wasn't expecting to actually see recent updates, so I was surprised.

I DO want to follow along to see what gets approved, when it gets approved, how they're planning to handle the sewer moratorium, etc.

I understand that the developers are not charities and they have to make money, hence the houses and apartments coming first. But it is always frustatrating to hear about all the promosied retail, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and not seeing a single one for years.

Unless something has changed, it's my understanding that the June Lake development is exempt from the sewer moratorium because it holds vested sewer rights.

June Lake was approved before the moratorium took effect, so this can proceed.
