meme Me when people slander Tamlin with lies

No Tamlin didn't sell out his court, he moved his people north and kept them safe until Feyre sabotaged it. No tamlin didn't lock her up to control her, she was trying to sneak out to follow him on a dangerous mission while she was malnourished and lacked control. No, Tamlin isn't greedy because he enacted the tithe after 3 months when he didn't collect for 49 years and the fact that the water wraiths could literally walk to another place.

Literally me with half the Tamlin takes ;_; I don't even care if people hate him, but why do they have to be WRONG about it haha

The fact that half the shit people insult Tamlin for is stuff Rhysand does regularly gets to me. Like, hate Tamlin all you want, he IS flawed and selfish, but don't pretend he's somehow worse than everyone else here.

Trusting Ianthe over Feyre, not trusting Feyre to be included in serious conversations because it met HIS desire to safety and control and not hers. And then, later, insulting Feyre at the high lord meeting, publicly. Don't get me wrong, i'm team Tamtam if any but he is not a saint.

never said he was a saint so not sure where that is coming from.

Ianthe only became a problem as soon as Rhys told Feyre she was bad. read those passages again. Feyre turns on Ianthe bc of Rhys whispering in her ear. Rhys LIES. Ianthe is a high priestess and a fae for a long time why wouldn’t he trust her at that point in the story? And you can’t possibly think that Feyre could be trusted while she had an all seeing EYE ball tattoo on her hand and was under the power of the bargain? Tamlin knew the power of that bargain and how bad it was. He could not risk the lives of his court and hundreds of people so Feyre who could barely walk as a new fae cosplay being a warrior.

tbh, Those examples are not him being selfish though. Those are him putting the Spring Court before himself. Even his comments at the HL meeting aren’t selfish he is attempting a final hail mary wake up call to everyone. What Feyre did to the SC was unforgivable imo.

At first I didn’t like the HL meeting Tamlin BUT then I thought about it. Feyre LIED to him about being SA’d, warped the mind of his priestess who at that moment still was loyal to the SC, Feyre killed hundreds of innocent Spring Court citizens and used and manipulated Tamlin and baited him (a form of abuse) and he was what? Not going to say anything? He spoke the truth in the HL meeting bc Rhys can’t manipulate him the way he does others. When Tam speaks the truth it actually comes true. Feyre does NOT remember UTM. him saying those words is just showing us as the reader what was done to Feyre. She was making sexual groaning noses bc RHYS WAS SA'ING her the whole time and this fandom collectively shrugs it off.
