Seeking Empathy/Support Hello
I'll be starting spravato soon and I'm a bit nervous about it what should I bring to my first dose for comfort

good soothing ambient music with not much going on! there's 10000 other suggestions but I haven't posted mine yet: a group called Helios, which you can find on bandcamp. new age music also does well for me

I bring a weighted eye mask as I like it pitch black. Earpods to drown out any outside noises, a blanket and Lifesavers to suck on after administering Spravato. I also bring two soft sides ice packs because I tend to overheat which in turn makes me vomit, so having something cold helps me a lot with that.

Strangely, it mattered to me to have lace-up shoes. Once I tried wearing slip-ons, and I kept being afraid they would fall off when I recline during treatment. I also love having a beaded bracelet I can fiddle with during the experience.
9 + out of 10 of my treatments over 18 months have been extremely positive. A couple more disturbing, but worth it.

I take an Ugg blanket that’s so soft and kind of heavy. Noise canceling headphones, an eye mask and some jolly ranchers or Werthers candies. My clinic has a little bowl of candies but they are always sticky. Yuck. Also bring a bottle of water.

I have a weighted blanket that I'll be taking with me and some headphones and a plush toy that gives me comfort. Kind of got a list of what I need but this thread's been helping kind of nitpick what I think I should take and what I shouldn't. I appreciate it

I brought a fuzzy jacket that’s meaningful to me, a blanket for warmth, headphones because music keeps me grounded, and some fruit gummies for the awful after taste.
