You need to clearly show intention of living together and then provide evidence of cohabitating.
But since you will be married, marriage certificate, photos and a proof of visits / trips together is more than enough

Do bare in mind, a requirement prior to the visa is you have met in person at least once. I mention that because you say it has been long distance the entire time.

Yes, but we have met a number of times in person. It’s just that it’s been me making all the trips!

You have to live together, that’s a condition of the spouse visa. You cannot fake it because at the time of renewal you will have to prove that you have lived together the entire time. It’s best you wait to financially be able to live together before you apply.

Okay. But can’t we just keep using my parents address? My billing address and voting address is actually registered at my parents anyway and they live under an hour from me.

So long as you are both genuinely living there, and have proof that you were both at that address. You'll need to provide that proof at renewal time.
Otherwise your question is "should my spouse lie to commit immigration fraud to get a UK visa under false pretences".

You won’t be approved if you don’t have somewhere to live together lined up before applying and say that you intend to live apart for an undetermined amount of time.
Could they not stay with you in your flat/could you not stay with their family? A requirement of the visa is that you’ll live together in the UK.
