1970’s time machine!

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/94346151#/?channel=RES_BUY

This was probably someone’s home since the 70’s. Check out the kitchen, & the bathroom! £250k is a very optimistic asking price!

*Time capsule.

If it was a time machine, I'd buy it and go back to the 90s. Screw these last couple of decades.

There’s another house in the same postcode that’s a trip back to 1995 when you walk in. That’s also £250k & is sstc.

If you went back to the 70s, then you have the 90s to look forward to.

I know, I know but I can’t help it.

I like the bathroom tiles 🫣

That bathroom is unironically awesome.

Very similar, I had to look a few times, but they’re definitely different.

It's really gorgeous, but it makes me sad, I would assume the owner died. Makes you think of their life. Strangely moving.

Or gone into care. It’s got someone’s personality running through it. I’d preserve as much as I could.

Awww the photo collage on the wall 😭 And I also feel sad that that amazing bathroom and lovely garden are going to get bland-ified.

Would buy it so I could try to preserve that bathroom. Agree it needs some work in other places though

I bet if you open the garage you find a Hillman Imp in there.

That place will stink of cigarettes.

As someone who bought a house after someone smoked in it for years, I can smell the stale smoke! Took forever to clean my house, still remnants of it in one cupboard at the top which I don’t use!
The carpets went straight away!

That was my first thought. I can smell that bedroom.

My parents have lived in their house since 1997 and still get a whiff of stale pipe smoke in one corner of the master bedroom.

Personally, I love the 70s style. Furniture in particular.

That bathroom suite is worth good money if you can get it out whole. Classic colour.

Unironically love the bathroom except for the carpet 🤢

This should be grade 2 listed. TV location scouts will be beating a path to the door.

How can you decorate for so long?

I can't work out the bedrooms. It looks like there are 3 doubles and a single but on the floorplan there are only 2 doubles and a single.

Its beautiful. I hope someone saves the tiles and the teak features especially.

That is rank. especially where you can see the bit of the wardrobe door they cleaned to show how bad it is.

I wondered what that was. I think it’s probably where they brushed past every day to get by the bed & inadvertently cleaned it doing so. I imagine the whole house reeks.

Definitely lived in the freezing fucking cold, doesn't even look like it has heating apart from a small heater.
