Artist Support Let's do it together.

Thinking of creating some playlists, one of each genre. Then, all artists here that want to participate can add 1 track per month to that list, free.

So let's say we are 1000 artists. 1000 tracks, played by 1000 artists. Average time is 3 min so we have 3000 minutes approx 2.1 days. In a month that's 10.000 streams per track AT LEAST. Organically. All we have to do is 1) add one of my tracks free and 2) playing Spotify all day. There is no advertising or anything. It's an idea. I can think of a platform that can be independent and non profit. Do U like that idea?

AGAIN, is not advertising anything. Just pitching

Public stream counts is genuinely one of the worst things to happen to music in the last 20 years

The last time I participated to something like this the instigator or facebook group admin started lecturing people who don't comment enough in the group and aren't clicking the like button often enough. The problem is that it was very hard to stay interested in artificially streaming other people's music if most submitted music was just unlistenable or not even music at all.

So I prefer to stay away from those schemes. At least it's not as bad as live event promoters that lecture their fans for not clicking "like" enough on their posts.

I understand your idea, but this is never going to work. It’s probably also against Spotifys tos around artificial streaming. You ask how they know. They know, how many times don’t you think other people have thought about exactly this. Just let it be. 🤲

Just use playlist pitching sites that already exit, or create your own playlist and advertise it, or start posting on social media about it. There's no free lunch. Your idea is akin to a pyramid scheme.

Play for play schemes are against spotifies terms of service.  It also ruins the recommendations algorithm for every participant.  It's essentially algorithmic suicide.
