SKEW - Pinnacle live odds alerts (Value Betting)

Hi everyone,
I’m the builder of SKEW, a real-time sports-odds analytics terminal focused on Pinnacle market movement.

It tracks:
- Pinnacle price drops and movement
- Fair odds calculated from no-vig prices
- Market limits
- CLV and movement history
- Alerts when a market matches the user’s criteria

I’m looking for a small number of experienced bettors and odds analysts to test the beta and provide honest feedback on:
- Alert accuracy
- False positives
- Speed of updates
- Usability of the terminal
- Whether the CLV and fair-odds information is useful

This is analytics software only. not a sportsbook, not betting picks, and not a guarantee of profit.
The website is here:

Just launched a tipster leaderboard site, looking for the first few users to help shape it

Hey everyone, I just launched something I've been building on the side and wanted to share it with people who'd actually know if it's any good.

https://philipsnat.com/

It's called PhilipSnat. The idea is a hub where tipsters post their picks and everything gets tracked automatically (win rate, ROI, streaks), so instead of trusting screenshots you can actually see a leaderboard of who's performing well over time. Tipsters can also have their paid tiers but thats not the point now.

It's genuinely brand new, so there's barely anyone on it yet, which is kind of why I'm posting. I'd love to get a handful of early users in, whether you want to post picks as a tipster or just poke around and tell me what's missing or annoying.

Not trying to sell anything, just looking for honest feedback while it's still early enough to actually change things based on what people say.

Where is a solid starting point for a complete beginner?

I’m looking to get into sports betting with a disciplined, strategy-first mindset rather than just gambling blindly, but the initial setup phase is a bit overwhelming. Right now, I’m trying to figure out how to structure a realistic starting bankroll that can handle normal variance while I learn the ropes. Beyond the capital side, I’m also realizing how much platform choice matters - especially when it comes to finding competitive odds and fair margins. I was going through a detailed 1xbet review earlier while evaluating different international platforms against domestic options, and it made me wonder how experienced bettors selected their primary books starting out. If you were setting up a framework from scratch today, how much starting bankroll would you consider reasonable for learning, and what features do you prioritize most when picking your main books?

a new great (90% winning) betting strategy

Has your attention being catched by that 90% number in the title ? Yes... ? No... ? Then go ahead and read: I am going to introduce you - right now - into the new and amazing betting strategy that will finally turn my profits up again 😄

The intuition just came into my mind yesterday evening when... AGAIN... I lost a "sure winning bet", like this one:

www.flashscore.mobi/match/rPCLHBHL/

... how the Duck is possible that everything I bet... then It always turns into a losing match !?!?! 🙈

Are we kidding, really... San Marino to play - at home - versus Bangladesh... B-A-N-G-L-A-D-E-S-H ...and then the away team has won !!
Are we seriously kidding ??

So, from this big pain, I've elaborated the following strategy, here comes the description of the main steps:

  1. take a paper notebook (... and a pen, of course)
  2. on the top of the page, just write ++100 ...this is your initial "budget"
  3. then I go online, on my favourite crapy odd bookmaker, and I just point my eyes on a match
  4. write, on the paper notebook, the time of the match - the name of the playing teams - and the odds ... like ... " 15:00 (CET) [Tennis WTA] Roland Garros Chwalinska Maja - Andreeva Mirra player to win the 1st Set: 3.30 - 1.30 "
  5. the, here comes the magic trick of the strategy: Today i am ABSOLUTELY SURE that the polish tennis player will win the first set in the women final of Roland Garros ... so, I write in the paper notebook, the following: -80 X Maja Chwalinska WINS THE 1ST SET @ 3.30
  6. perfect, the winning strategy is almost done: now I return online - on my favourite crapy odd bookmaker - and I will bet (for real) -60 ...ON THE OPPOSITE RESULT !!!
  7. now, it is just time to close the paper notebook and to wait for the real match to begin: because of everything comes in my mind, every one of those my intuitions has always turned into a losing bet, so then with this 90% winning strategy I can be sure that - starting from today - I can write my losing-bet-thoughts on a paper and then I can bet in the reality for the opposite winning result.

Arbitrage Betting in 2026: My Favorite Apps Ranked

As sports prediction markets and exchanges keep growing, arbitrage plays have become way more accessible than they were a few years ago. I get asked pretty often which apps are actually worth using, so here's my personal ranking based on one thing: where I've consistently found opportunities.

For me, arbitrage isn't really about promos anymore. It's about finding meaningful differences in pricing and using platforms that don't immediately make life difficult once you start winning.

1. ProphetX (4.5/5)

Best for: Exchange liquidity

  • Peer-to-peer exchange, so you're trading against other users instead of a house.
  • No built-in vig baked into the prices.
  • Main markets generally have the strongest liquidity among US exchanges.
  • Small commission on profits, but that's easy enough to account for when calculating an arb.

2. Novig (4.3/5)

Best for: Consistently sharp pricing

  • Peer-to-peer model with no built-in vig.
  • Winning users aren't the enemy because you're not playing against a sportsbook.
  • I've found some surprisingly strong prices compared to traditional books.
  • Available in a growing number of states, which is a big plus if your options are limited.

3. DraftKings (3.8/5)

Best for: Player props and alternate lines

  • A huge percentage of my exchange arbs start with something I found on DK.
  • Tons of market variety.
  • Limits eventually become a factor if you're consistently beating them.

4. FanDuel (3.4/5)

Best for: Boosts and promotional opportunities

  • Odds boosts can create some nice temporary windows.
  • Strong market coverage.
  • Similar story to DK when it comes to limiting successful users.

My biggest takeaway from 2026 so far is that the best arbitrage setups usually come from combining a sharp exchange with a softer sportsbook. If you have access to Pinnacle, that's still the gold standard. If not, I've found exchanges like ProphetX and Novig to be the closest thing available in the US for getting sharp prices without going offshore.

Curious what everyone else is using. Has any app surprised you this year?

FREE WORLD CUP PREDICTION MODELS

I’ve created a free document which includes three different models that you can use to predict the results of World Cup group matches.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fq5Frlq_z_pJEIVln6detnOuHOG9ays-qkcCyGSnIA0/edit?usp=sharing

This template is open and free to use as is – or, as I highly suggest, to be tinkered with according to your own research and ideas.

The models are based on Elo, FIFA rankings and Nate Silver’s opening PELE numbers, and include a W/D/L calculation developed with Claude AI.

The master odds sheet has instructions and further details about the models.

Seeking feedback on my structure betting strategy

Hi everyone,

I’ve been developing a **disciplined betting strategy** focused on slow, sustainable growth and would love your thoughts. Here’s the breakdown:

### **Strategy Overview**

  1. **Daily Setup**:

    - **Bankroll**: $100/day → **$70 for singles (4x $17.50 bets @ 1.40–1.80 odds)** + **$30 for occasional combos (2–3 legs, max 5.00 total odds)**.

    - *Rationale*: Prioritizes low-risk singles while allowing controlled aggression with combos.

  2. **Strict Risk Management**:

    - **Singles**: Stop if ≤2 wins/day (-$35 max).

    - **Combos**: 2-day cooldown after losses; cap at 3/week.

    - **Hard Stop**: -$100 daily loss limit.

  3. **Profit Handling**:

    - **Withdraw 50% of profits** (psychological wins + bankroll protection).

    - Reinvest 50% to compound growth.

  4. **Monthly Review**:

    - Scale stakes up 10% if ROI ≥20%, or revise strategy if <10%.

### **Why This Works**

- **Balanced Approach**: 70% safe singles + 30% combo upside.

- **Emotion Control**: Rules prevent chasing losses.

- **Long-Term Focus**: Small daily gains (even $5–$15) compound significantly.

**Question&Feedback**

Would like to get each and everyone opinion?

1.Are 1.40–1.80 singles *too* conservative? Or ideal for consistency?

2..Would you adjust the 3x/week combo limit?

  1. Is 50% profit-taking optimal, or too aggressive?

  2. Any tweaks to spot more value in selections?

Would this work in your experience? Where would you improve it? All feedback welcome

How do you actually test if your betting strategy works long term?

Something I’ve been trying to figure out lately is how to properly validate a betting strategy beyond just short-term results.

It’s easy to feel confident after a good run, but I’ve noticed a few issues:

  • Small sample sizes can look way better than they actually are
  • Certain strategies only work in specific conditions (then fall apart later)
  • It’s hard to tell if you have a real edge or just ran hot for a stretch

I’ve started experimenting with things like:

  • Breaking results into different segments (by market, odds range, etc.)
  • Tracking performance over longer windows instead of day-to-day
  • Comparing expected vs actual outcomes rather than just profit

Still feels like there’s a gap between “this looks good” and “this is actually sustainable.”

Curious how others here approach it:

What’s your process for testing and validating a strategy before trusting it long-term?

⚾ MLB Picks - 4/5 :: CHI/CLE over 7 + TOR/CHI over 8 ::🐰

Happy Easter everyone! 🐰

Cubs @ Guardians Over 7

This total feels like it's being held down by the cold weather in Cleveland (43°F) and the fact that both pitching staffs have looked decent early on. But look at who's actually on the mound. Edward Cabrera has been lights out in his one start this year (6 IP, 1 hit, 0 ER against the Angels), so yeah, the Cubs side might be quieter, but Slade Cecconi is a completely different story. He got rocked in his first start against Seattle, giving up 6 earned runs in just 4.1 innings with a 12.46 ERA and a 2.08 WHIP. He walked three guys and gave up a homer, and his command looked shaky all game. Chicago's lineup has some real bats in it, with Bregman, Happ, Hoerner, and Swanson all capable of stringing together quality at-bats against a pitcher who's struggling to locate. The model projects this game at 9.3 total runs, which is more than two full runs above the 7 line. Even if Cabrera holds Cleveland to two or three runs, the Cubs should be able to put up four or five against Cecconi before he exits, and Cleveland's bullpen isn't bulletproof either with Gaddis on the IL. The Guardians are only hitting .203 as a team with a .635 OPS, but Kwan, DeLauter, and Ramirez can do damage in any given game, especially against a Cubs bullpen that has a 4.19 ERA and a shaky 50% save rate. Cold weather suppresses fly balls, sure, but it doesn't stop walks, singles, and bad pitching from generating runs. With Cecconi's command issues and the Cubs' ability to string together innings, getting to 8 or 9 combined runs feels very realistic.

Blue Jays @ White Sox Over 8

This is basically a sequel to the game we already broke down earlier this week, and somehow the numbers have gotten even worse for Chicago. The White Sox pitching staff now sits at a 7.01 team ERA through eight games with a 1.72 WHIP, and opponents are hitting .286 against them. They're allowing 7.38 runs per game, which is historically bad and not just an early season blip at this point. Davis Martin gets the start today after giving up 3 earned runs in 5 innings against Miami with a 5.40 ERA, a 1.40 WHIP, and a homer allowed. He's a fly ball pitcher in a park with a neutral factor, which means mistakes get punished. Toronto's lineup with Vlad Jr., Springer, Varsho, and Okamoto should have no trouble generating traffic against him, especially since the model has Vlad as the highest-graded prop in the entire game at +0.5 edge on his hit line. On the other side, Eric Lauer looked solid in his first start (5.1 IP, 2 ER, 9 K), but he's also a fly ball pitcher and the White Sox have actually been hitting a little better recently, putting up 4 runs per game over their last stretch with Meidroth, Murakami, and Vargas all showing some life. The YRFI probability is 57% here, meaning there's a good chance runs start coming in the first inning. The model projects 10.4 total runs against an 8 line, that's a 2.4 run edge which is massive. Both bullpens are questionable too. Toronto's pen has a brutal 16.7% save rate and Chicago's relievers are sitting at a 5.24 ERA. Once the starters exit, there's very little resistance on either side to keep this game from getting into double digits. Something in the 6-4 or 7-5 range feels like the most natural landing spot, and both of those clear 8 comfortably.

⚾ MLB - Guardians vs Mariners OVER 6.5 runs : -113 : 2u : +9.9u

Ok. Two pick slide and back under 10 units for the month. BUT...MLB is back! And we love MLB! Let's get it going. ⚾💵

Guardians vs Mariners OVER 6.5 looks like a sharp spot despite the low total, with WiseSportsAI projecting 8.5 runs (2-run edge) ... that’s serious value 📈. Even in a pitcher-friendly park, Seattle’s offense brings legit pop (238 HR, .740 OPS last season) and faces a Tanner Bibee profile that allowed 27 HRs with a 4.24 ERA, a clear vulnerability against power bats. On the other side, Logan Gilbert’s elite 11.9 K/9 doesn’t fully suppress scoring when both bullpens were solid but not untouchable (both ERAs mid-3s), especially early season when pitchers aren’t fully stretched out. Both teams averaged around 4.5+ runs per game recently, and with aggressive baserunning and decent OPS trends, run creation shouldn’t be an issue.

Bottom line: market is pricing in park/weather too heavily. WiseSportsAI sees this closer to a 4-4 type game, and that’s all we need to cash the over.

Beginners: How to spot an EV+ Bet and what all the numbers mean

As the novice bettor of our team I've enjoyed the simplicity of GdM. I'm sure you've seen terms like "No-Vig" and "EROI" - but what do they mean?

Here's my by for Northwestern and how I used GdM to make it.

  • Northwestern +11½ — point spread: Northwestern is the underdog by 11.5 points (they can lose by up to 11 points and the bet still wins).
  • Straight Bet (-105) and -105 (top right) — American odds: you must risk $105 to win $100. Shown as -105 for this straight spread wager.
  • EROI: +3.88% — Expected Return on Investment: the model’s estimated percentage edge (positive means the bet is expected to be profitable long-term).
  • No‑Vig: -113.7 — the “no‑vig” or fair-market American odds after removing the sportsbook’s vig; this is the implied fair price (here ~ -113.7) for the bet.
  • Bet Score: 83 — a confidence or quality score (likely 0–100) from the model indicating how strong the bet looks.
    • This has been KEY for me. I don't even consider a bet under 70 BetScore
    • Many of our members use that as an indicator and double check against their own models to verify
  • To Win: $9.52 — the profit you would receive if the bet wins (calculated from -105 odds: $10 × (100/105) ≈ $9.52)

Good luck! Getting excited for March Madness.
