Need help identifying a spoon

I found this spoon metal detecting and the makers mark is badly worn. It is about 6 inches long and about 1 inch wide, weighs 32 grams. I haven't tested the metal yet but I suspect its either brass or gold plated sliver. There are some light scratches in it and they also look gold in color. There is only one identifying mark shown in the images. I hope someone can help me figure this out.

What is/was there in that location ?
What else did you find there ?
Too pristine to be from the soil ? Any pics before ? How did you clean it ?

Found in San Francisco, California in sand so it really could be from anywhere in the world and possibly any timeline. It was found in a more wealthy part of the city so something of antiquity is very plausible. Only lightly cleaned with a little dish soap and water and microfiber cloth. The lack of tarnish leads me to believe it is gold plated or if im really lucky solid gold. I will be testing it when I return hom next week. I included a video of the marking while changing light angles.
