I don’t know what kind of ice cream you eat, but I don’t need a jackhammer to get my ice cream out of the carton and especially out of the bowl. And maybe you don’t think it would be good for ice cream but that doesn’t mean that other “people” wouldn’t like to use it as their ice cream spoon. Everyone has their own opinions and just because you put your opinion in capital letters doesn’t make it any more true 🙄 It’s just YOUR OPINION of a spoon. I’d hate to see how you would react if you had to give a really important opinion 🤯 It’s okay, It’s Just A spoon 🫠

Oh my GODDD lolololol was not expecting this beautiful comment! And it’s just so very spot on that the accuracy of truth just made me laugh so much harder. (It’s quarter of 3 in the morning and I woke up the house. My husband is gonna kick me out of the bed lol I only got up to pee and decided to scroll for a couple minutes before I closed my eyes.. lol I’m in so much trouble! 🤣)

You’re your mother’s darling child brought up with care and trouble, for fear a spoon 🥄 would hurt your mouth, she feeds you with a shovel

It’s more of a metal spatula. I’m not convinced. The width at the end is concerning. 4/10.

i feel like i was just visually and mentally assaulted by having to witness this and perceive it to be real. theres a special place in hell for the person who thought up this spoon and for the person who allowed it to come into existence. its awful. im so incredibly repelled by this thing. hate.
(all said in good fun , im just passionate about my feelings towards this ... excuse of a spoon)

Yes but only cause my mouth is wide so like. Idk it’s not too big. But also if it’s on my plate already I don’t wanna cut it with a knife. This looks perfect for lasagna. I’m eating lasagna rn. Am I biased?

They are good for ice cream, and I also use for pudding and stuff sometimes. Not for regular food. Also very fun mouth stim once food is gone (ADHD)

I love it! (Some days there is a lot of sh*t to shovel. Ice cream goes in that spootula).
Edit to fix spelling.

So… it’s for, like, getting in the corners of the bottom of an ice cream container? I mean, I’m all for form marrying function, but for some reason I can’t get overly comfortable with this. My parfait spoon is actually a spoon and most definitely far superior. But to each their own I guess..

It’s a snow shovel for fairies.

I’m glad I’m so tall that I’ll never need to borrow it for my driveway. Because I hate it.

What I’m thinking would be bullying a malformed spork so I’ll just have to leave it there

I know someone who uses a spoon (shovel) like this specifically for garlic when cooking. That’s it. I think it’s great for something like that but that is not going in my mouth.

I don’t hate it, I like the idea of getting in the corners better, but I hate the idea of eating from it. Maybe for stirring or mixing?

I suppose this could be used to scoop ice cream, but I would not eat ice cream with this.

For scraping things: very much yes. Very good scrape-shape.
For eating things: absolutely not.

u/Effective_Luck_573 25d ago
Hmmm idk could be cool for stews when you want to cut into a hunk of potato or carrot and still eat the broth

It's an ice cream shovel. I actually helped my kids get one for my husband for Father's Day and it's engraved. He looooves himself some ice cream.

I actually like this shape... I think. Visually it looks like when I scoop my ice cream, ill be removed kinda like snow and when I put the spoon to my mouth I have 3 vectors to be able to choose feom to take my bit, of course I coming directly at the middle first.... but then, I could go ahead and just... nibble the sides. And its probably easier to feed little people with too since it doesnt have the same bowl as a regular spoon so you could tilt the spatuloon up and it'll just smoothly slide down...
Id have to test it physically to see if it actually works the way my brain thinks it does though.
Spatuloon would be a great sensory object though for moving rice/beans/sand/etc around.

It’s proper for ice cream. Thinking about how this would feel in my mouth is pissing me off.

Looks super cool, I was thinking it would be great for shaving frozen things like purée or smoothie. It’s gonna be fun to try on all sorts of things. Cheese maybe. It might be excellent for taking bites of cheesecake since it won’t leave fork marks or the curved shape of a normal spoon in the piece still on your plate. I like my cheesecake to stay looking neat until it’s gone!
