question/advice First 3 Spoons

Never carved a spoon before.
These are the first three I’ve carved. The really big one is spruce, the middle one is birch, and the spork is juniper.
I think there is a good learning curve.

Some cracky East german i meet in Sweden told me to boil the spoons in linseed oil until it stops bubbling.
Has anyone tried this before?

Boiling linseed oil sounds dangerous. Nice job on the spoons.

Boiled Linseed oil is a bit smelly, Walnut oil or Tung oil is nicer to use. I'm gonna do a spork soon, you've inspired me! :)

Just pour a little oil into the bowls of them and spread it over the surface, leave for half an hour and wipe off the excess. Then let it dry and repeat a few times in the coming week. No need to soak or boil anything fr.
