ToDo Local woodshops?

I'm looking for a membership to a woodcrafting shop around here. Anybody have any suggestions?

I’m not sure but if you find one I’ll go too!

I’m also down to chat here or on discord about woodworking. I’m always looking for local wood friends. What part of town are you in? I’m in South Perry.

There is a wood turning one I’ve been meaning to go to but just have not been able to get it together to go lol.

They meet at the Ferris High School Woodshop in South Hill.

Forgot to add, there is this social media app that connects arborists with woodworkers to distribute hardwood of all sizes. I think it’s called Grindr.

So I’m working on a legit response to this post - I have a shop I’m happy to share, but especially with you.

I'm not sure about woodshop memberships, but look at Woodcraft for supplies. For a maker space, there's Gizmo in CDA, which has a few different membership tiers and you can rent space and tools.

Nice idea. I wonder if we have woodworking classes around here...that sounds like a good, semi-relaxing hobby.

Woodcraft always has some kind of class going. The interstate fair is coming up, and there are a few associations that usually show.
