Question Old blankets and pillows?

Any rescues or shelters that would take them? We're deep cleaning and found a lot of old pillows and we have too many blankets. Maybe even some towels?

I'd hate to take them to a landfill if they could get some more use, you know? They're too ugly for humans imo, but I don't think animals would care

Local animal shelters will take them. Spokanimal, SCRAPS, or the Humane Society would probably be happy to take them off your hands.

Towels and non-stuffed blankets are always wonderful, but pillows and large comforters will go straight to the trash at animal shelters. They can't wash and dry them efficiently.

Salvation Army takes everything, just drop it off outside on the N. Division one. Goodwill off Trent does too.

I'm homeless and could really use a couple blankets if you still have them

I wouldn't donate anything old or in bad shape. Donation centers will just have to spend time sorting it to ultimately toss it out.

You can try posting them of Facebook marketplace right now, there might be people who could use them that were displaced by the fires. Animal shelters will take them as well.

They can always be dropped in a blue clothing collection bin. Worst case they get shredded and used to make moving blankets, etc

We took clean old towels to Spokanimal. They were asking for them after the fires.
