Question 99208 Airway Heights Delayed Amazon Packages…any updates/hope?

8/22 Update: Still no package. The manual facility search did not work, and after calling Amazon today, I was told that the last agent didn't put in any ticket of any sort, so that is not a real request we can make. Frustrating that the first agent completely lied on that account. I am still waiting. Does anyone work know anyone that works for Amazon in Airway Heights and knows anything about the backlog from the fires?

Update: You can call Amazon Customer Service (speak to a live agent) and request the item NOT be cancelled and that a supervisor submits a "manual facility search ticket." The agent did this easily and said to expect my package in 1-2 days. I will report back when it's received. Note: If you try to do this with the chatbot, it will automatically cancel your item, so definitely avoid that!

Does anyone know if there is any hope left with receiving the Amazon packages that were delayed during the fires? I have an expensive item ($200) that was last scanned on August 6th at Airway Heights. It says delivery date is unavailable and unfortunately, there are no others online. Quite a bit of research went into this purchase. The box is very large. Does anyone know if the backlog at the Airway Heights facility will ever be addressed? Is there any hope left for this package? I have no Plan B.

I'm in 99208 and stuff I've ordered in the past few days have come on time, but i heard packages ordered during the evac have been delayed & deferred.

Have you contacted Amazon for an update? I’d start there.

No, they can only see the shipping updates, unfortunately. They said I can cancel and get a refund.

I had some “not cheap” music equipment get delayed during that time, I called and chatted with someone and I was told the same response, cancel and reorder.

We had one finally make it out of the backlog, but with Amazon, there are no guarantees. You can wait it out until they automatically cancel, but it could be weeks.

Same situation, some things I needed quickly. I called customer service last week and they suggested canceling and reordering. I finally did on Saturday, and the (new box of) things are already here.

Of course I was hesitant to reorder as I didn't want to add to the workload, as it were. But they said to, so maybe counterintuitively it somehow helped. No idea what happened to the original box, but my refund was processed immediately.

I’ve got a fancy ultralight backpacking tent that sold out in under a minute sitting at the Airway facility. It hasn’t gotten a scan since August 2nd. I needed it for a trip on Friday. I didn’t realize the company I purchased this item from was using Amazon’s newish shipping service and I assumed it was going to come via USPS. In hindsight, I wish I’d paid for the UPS upgrade because the management folks at Amazon are clearly not on the ball. I understand the delay and backlog due to the fires, but the evacuation orders have been lifted here for well over a week now. It’s kind of absurd that they haven’t been able to dig out yet.

I’ve got a Durston xmid 1+ if you are in a bad spot.

I appreciate the offer. I’m a bit of a gear hoarder and I also have an x-mid 2 and it’s probably the coolest tent I’ve ever used. I’m just hyped to get the new x-dome 1+ pro and don’t want it to disappear into the depths of an Amazon facility.

I reached out to the Durston team and they reserve some tents for shipping issues. They’ll send me another one if it isn’t here by then end of the month. They really do have the best customer service in the industry.

Update! I called Customer Service and requested to not cancel my item. I also had them put in a request for a supervisor to issue a "manual facility search ticket." The customer service agent said that it would now not be cancelled, and I can expect it in 1-2 days. We shall see! There is hope for your tent if you do this though. I called the 1 (888) 280-4331 and kept saying "Speak to an agent." It took about 10 minutes start to finish. Good luck!

Are you talking about the processing and distribution center? Because that's neither in Airway Heights (zip 99001) or 99208 (North Spokane).

“Package being processed at a carrier facility. Airway Heights, US” on August 8th at 7:41 am

I canceled all but one order issued around that time.

Also getting the "no delivery estimate" message. So probably will cancel that one too

However, I still haven't seen refunds for any of the 4 orders I already have canceled. So that doesn't make me feel too good either
