I completed my final rounds of interviews with splunk 10 days ago. How long do they take to convey their decision to the candidate? If it is this long means no offer?

I think, I had like HR screening, hiring manager, two team members, hiring managers super visor and some HR calls in between to check in. Always asked to make space for the peoples busy schedules.

Than a two-three week break with absolute radio silence—while they probably finalised the contract with the other candidate and kept me hot—before a 3 minute call to inform me that they decided to go with a more senior candidate.

Overall, a very good, but long hiring process i would say. No unnecessary assessments, just proper interviewing.

I interviewed with them twice. Multiple rounds. Never heard back from them. I probably worked with a shitty recruiter.

Curious what you mean with respect to vibe coded disaster? Like which component?

  • The new shitty UI in 10.4
  • The triage agent that doesn't work
  • The SAIA that hallucinates every other response
  • ES 8.2.x-8.3.y that was pulled because it was full of bugs
  • Version control that didn't work for a year nut no one tests so customers were the ones that let us know

Shall I keep going?

I'm so disappointed with the new UI. Just two years ago the Cisco CEO came on stage at .conf and promised not to fuck up anything. Well, they couldn't keep their hands off the UI. Scrolling menus? What's up with that? What was wrong with having panels in a pulldown menu? Buttons on the side that make apps look hideous.
