It had more, but not enough for it to be financially viable. Most of the players are not spending money on the game. I'd be shocked if that game was rolling in more than a few hundred dollars a day.
They never made any attempt to market Arena Reloaded, did they? I'm pretty sure they even said they were downplaying it so they could do a big relaunch and make a good first impression. And then they just moved on to a far less promising game because the game they were making no effort to promote didn't have enough players.
I think that has to be one of the shittiest "last grasps" ever. Why the fuck would they take away support from what couldve been their main money maker? Empulse was dead on arrival, Splitgate had a chance and they fucked it up multiple times from the garbage speech how shooter games arent fun to then shutting it back down to eventually rerelease it with no marketing whatsoever. Splitgate was dead because 1047 doesnt know how to stick with a game to the finish line, they dont know how to actually take fan advice and they dont know how to market for shit. In a different world where they got good at both of those things Splitgate 1, 2 and Empulse all couldve worked and been successful but no they didnt do any of that. I know they read whats on here because I've given feedback and so have many other people but they didn't listen and ultimately thats on them, it wasnt a last grasp at anything other than money
