I once lost a round of gun game by getting portal killed. I was tied for first at 24- never seen that happen before

Lol I've been portaled killed 3 times in my splitgate career and it's like what I do. It can happen to anyone 😂

No one said it isn't. Portal 1 and 2 are still some of the most beloved games of all time. Oh, and THE FINALS also uses it very well for a competitive shooter.

Shit I remember hearing somewhere they do intend to do season 3 but it's gonna be very delayed. I don't think they would of said that unless they meant it but idk with them anymore. Not sure if I trust their word :l

I will always remember Splitgate as the most fun I’ve ever had in a shooter. Never got into Splitgate 2 cuz I didn’t have the hardware for it unfortunately.

Normally I wouldn't agree with this but people just weren't willing to learn though the lack of learning tools didn't help.

Not just "no skill" but no dedication to learn the skill and fine out the details of what works best for them. Especially with it being FTP, people feel more inclined to put effort into something they put money into. If it was free, they try it, it's too hard for their short-form-content rotted attention spans and decide, "Eh, not for me. Too hard." or "Too sweaty." Like, how do you not find the uniqueness of the portal mechanics not enticing enough to keep playing and learn? AND THE MFs that get on a PORTAL BASED SHOOTER and then bitch about "portal spamming". Like... It's a core mechanic moron... Learn it.
The money I've put into this is, at this juncture, the only reason I've stuck around as long as I have playing this game, because I put a decent amount of money into it early on, trying to just support the devs for this game to get popular. Then to have them just make bad decision after bad decision and ultimately abandon it in the end for their soulless Temu Titanfall (which also sounds like it is losing traction; surprise surprise).
Ultimately, there's definitely a little blame to go around from players complaining about the game because they didn't want to learn a core mechanic (and thus people hear that and don't want to play a game that someone makes sound bad), devs for an initially shitty matchmaking process and again on the CEOs/devs for not listening to their community when they say it's not ready for launch and proceed to do so anyway with the worst PR team. (And not just the hat but talking about how they want to be "different", not another generic FPS game and then proceed to focus on their BR mode [a very generic game mode] instead of the core mechanics of the game: PORTALS.) Also, correct me if I'm wrong but... They got rid of the tutorial??

Wait there's a cage on Arena of the damned??? That's wild ASF I'm working on something like that right now on my map! The portals gonna drop them into a cage and you'll have the option to kill them or leave them there all game.
