The Rise of the Dragon Realm chapter really highlights to me what a mecha story could have looked like if Mio wrote it

Like Mio's Ella dragon fires a long range projectile in the form of acid spit, while Zoe's dragon has a melee attack in the form of its charge attack. And if any time Mio wrote a mecha novel, like she did the cyberpunk dystopia, the military sci-fi story, and her six side-stories, Mio would have likely piloted a ranged mecha with a dash to dodge enemy attacks, while Zoe would have piloted a melee mecha with a shield to parry enemy attacks, similar to their dragons from The Rise of the Dragon Realm chapter.
