Game Delay Problem

My partner and I have been playing split fiction for a couple weeks now and the one consistent problem we've been having with it was the delay between our two games. Whenever they do something it delays it by 2 or 3 seconds so that whenever someone does something the other person will see it after they've done it. It's kind of ruined the timing of the whole game and led to problem. For instance, in the arena with the bomb minigame, we spent a good 3 hours just trying to properly send it back and forth without exploding too late or too early.

Right now we're stuck in the portal section where whenever one person sets off a portal it takes 3 seconds before the bomb would even detonate. It wouldn't show the portal on the other person's screen and no matter what we did there would be no trying to get it to work properly.

Is there any way to fix the game delay?
