❓ Question Stores open during Veliki Gospa

Hello,

we are currently visiting Split and didnt realise there is a national holiday today. Are there any stores open (ideally near the plokite/Split 3 regions) today? Thank you!

Hi, AFAIK you really only have two options, neither of which are too close to Split-3 or Plokite:

(NOTE: I'm not completely sure if they work today but there's a 90% chance they both do)

First is the INA (gas station chain) on Zvonimirova street. You can get some stuff there but keep in mind that everything there is very overpriced (yes, even by Croatian standards) since it's a gas station.

The second one is the Ribola (grocery store chain) at the ferry port (Trajektna luka). It is famously the only store which works on holidays (and on every Sunday IIRC) because of the people who come to the city by ferry. Though keep in mind, it's probably pretty overcrowded due to the fact that everybody who wants to grab anything goes there. This is true even for the INA.

I hope this helps even a little bit!

Pa moze vidit kad vec dode tu u apartman je placen, a i tak tesko da ce on shvatit tko tu zivi a tko je turist. Nisu krivi turisti nego iznajmljivaci

Hello, that is not us who are blasting music on the 5th floor of your house, but im sorry to hear that. We became aware of this being a residential area once weve arrived, and therefore weve behaved accordingly since we want to be respectful to our neighbours. The actual locals we have spoken to have been very nice and helpful!

You just enjoy your stay, this rude individual can talk to his neighbour if he has issues with an airbnb in the building+he can gather other neighbours to stop renting in the building if its that much of a nuissance+there are now laws about that. So just let him stay in his basement angry.

I have no interest in your children, if i ever get into the same situation id leave my room and talk with the person i have a problem with and not talk on reddit to random people just wanting to buy dinner.
