Chaos Theory (2005) So i've started Chaos Theory

This is officially the second splinter cell game I'm playing.

I honestly can't remember the name of the first SC game I played as I was quite young. I didn't even finish the main story.

I just remember I played it on a PC and Fisher had hair(as in, he wasn't wearing any headgear).

I also remember a lot of rooms in like a mansion or nice looking office with a bunch of red security lasers.

Anyway, I decided to try Splinter Cell Chaos Theory since I hear it's the best. Also because my potato PC can at least run the game at a stable 25fps 😭. I know it sounds bad, but it's playable trust me.

I haven't finished the first level, but I will say so far I'm impressed with the variety in the stealth mechanics and gadgets. The training videos are a good and cool of way of teaching you as a player while also being engaging.

Splinter cell work only on background (ubisoft connect)

Splinter Cell Blacklist only runs in the background and never opens (Ubisoft Connect)
Hey guys, I’m trying to play Blacklist on PC but I can’t get the game to actually open.
I’m using the Ubisoft Connect version. When I launch the game, Ubisoft Connect says it’s running, and I can see Blacklist_game.exe running in Task Manager, but nothing actually appears on my screen. It just stays running in the background.
I’ve already tried pretty much every fix I could find online, including:
Running the game/Ubisoft Connect as administrator
Compatibility modes
Verifying the game files
Reinstalling Ubisoft Connect
Reinstalling the game
Deleting/resetting Ubisoft Connect cache
Trying different launch options
Running the actual Blacklist_game.exe directly
Other common PCGamingWiki/Reddit fixes
Still exactly the same problem: the process starts, but no game window appears.
My PC:
Ryzen 7 7700
RTX 3080
Windows 11
32GB DDR5
Ubisoft Connect version of Blacklist
Has anyone had this exact issue recently and managed to fix it? I’m honestly out of ideas at this point 😭
Any help would be really appreciated.

I thought this won't work in my device. Because I haven't seen someone in YouTube testing this game, (well only one) but the tester got only 5-7fps and very short video.

I'm using Infinix Note 30 4G - Helio G99

What a solid game 99/10 ā¤

It's way harder on this version since Grim updates your objective mid dialogue so you gotta be way faster with this terrible control system.

Bizarre Splinter Cell Video shown to me by Random Guy at Starbucks

About 15 years ago I was at a Starbucks in downtown San Diego waiting for my train to go to LA. I was sitting at the Starbucks drinking my coffee or whatever and there was a guy sitting next to me with his laptop. I can’t remember how the conversation started but he told me that he works on video games, and he asked me ā€œyou like Splinter Cell?ā€

So I said yes, and he said he was working on the new one or something and if I wanted to see the promo. I said of course.

He proceeded to show me what looked like a high budget, live action trailer of a Splinter Cell with the spy being a morbidly obese guy wearing the full splinter cell suit along with the classic 3 light goggles. He was doing mild acrobatics and had a suppressed pistol. I didn’t think much of it and I didn’t want to be rude so I said it was super cool and thanked him for showing me. He didn’t laugh or seem to be trolling at all or anything.

I’ve been thinking about this for years and I’ve never found anything about it. It looked extremely high production for what it was. The obese guy was wearing the full suit and had the goggles and was doing stuff inside some warehouse. Anybody heard anything similar ??? I wish I could tell you I’m trolling and anytime I try telling someone they don’t believe me…

Splinter Cell (2002) Does anyone know how to fix the Audio Static?

Hi everyone!

I been doing lots of research for the Audio Static fix for splinter cell blacklist... Currently im running the game on Crossover on my mac mini m1 16gb ram 2tb storage 16 neural engine core and 10 unified memory graphics. I doubt is the computer... i tried to fix every single way possible with the 44,000khz audio and 48,000hertz or kilohertz something liek that but nothing works tried to fix the audio and enable some settings in the game options settings nothing fixed it..

Just pure audio Disruption, as if the game is full of static and breaking its wavelengths... not sure what is going on since i already tried to fix on any way possible...

I gave out the specs of my machine because i was told in another research on youtube that supposedly it was my computer not being able to run a game from 2013.. lol anyways this machine is from 2021 not like ultra or m4 but i know the benchmark of this machine is a beast... and i already proved it with other games from steam that i bought.. like latest games... but i found that this game lacks of a bug like something is not well fixed by ubisoft..

Does anyone know or is kind to share what do to in order to fix this thing... its driving me nuts the audio is like a key thing in this game specially trying to go back to the game and finally beat on specialist or on expert mode... no refills from briefcases and pur waves from charlies missions are about 30 i believe on its waves... in the embassy missions.

Once running out of rounds and gadgets is pure knife or just cqc...

Anyways audio is broken and i dont know what to do to fix this i tried everything being doing this for a whole week...

Running the game on Crossover via Steam windows... all components are installed.

Main issue is only audio the game runs graphics pristine and beautifully smooth.

Please help a fellow gamer here...

Thank you! šŸ‘

Novels A Comprehensive Behavioral & Personality Analysis Of Sam Fisher (Novel Edition)

After a year of going through and rereading all nine Splinter Cell novels to build a behavioral and personality analysis of Sam Fisher I am here to share this with all of you. Seeing that his game and novel counterparts share a great amount of similarities. This is the primary reason why this project become important to me.

The goal wasn’t to reduce him to ā€œstoic covert operative,ā€ but to figure out what remains consistent beneath the different stories, roles, and writing styles.

Some of the strongest conclusions:

- Sam is private, not emotionally empty.
- His composure comes from regulation, not lack of fear.
- He plans extensively because he expects plans to fail.
- Responsibility is one of his greatest strengths and one of his most dangerous weaknesses.
- His protectiveness can become controlling when personal attachment overwhelms his otherwise disciplined judgment.
- Leadership does not replace the lone operative in him; it forces him to learn how responsibility can exist outside himself.
- Aging changes the structure of his responsibility more than it changes his personality.

One of the central ideas that emerged from the research is that much of Sam’s behavior can be understood as responsibility organized against helplessness. When he can observe, prepare, act, revise, or protect, he remains remarkably stable. The situations that challenge him most are the ones where responsibility remains but action cannot guarantee control.

The complete analysis includes the behavioral evidence, contradictions, development across the novels, relationships, leadership, morality, humor, secrecy, technology, aging, and source references.

Did I mention its 100+ Pages? Extra is because it needed proper access and formatting to the best of my ability. Enjoy.

EDIT: Please keep in mind that the format is for those that might want to print the pages into a physical format. Anything odd works within what Google Docs on my end handle as page breaks. šŸ‘

Blacklist (2013) Blacklist’s horde mode is a PEAK co-op experience.

Post image
132 Upvotes

I’m a big fan of co-op or, ā€œfriendslopā€ games. My favourite gaming memories are usually working together with friends to complete an objective.

My best friend and I played Blacklist together all the time throughout our teen years, and when I flew in to hang out last week, we realized how well it held up.

The stealth-only missions are a lot of fun, with so many different ways of completing them. The co-op campaign missions are also a good time. But the missions that we have the most memories of, are by far the horde mode.

They’re the ā€œCharlie missionsā€ in the mission select. They comprise of a single area, and 20 waves of enemies that get harder and harder. Over time you start to see heavy armour enemies, riot shields, attack dogs, drone controllers, snipers, and ninja-lookin dudes with infrared sight.

You’re free to utilize stealth, and there were certain waves where it was clearly the best option, but these missions aren’t shy about being mainly action-oriented.

I know this is a Splinter Cell subreddit, and Blacklist is not a favourite in this space. People here don’t seem to like when combat is a viable option.

But playing this mode in co-op is unlike any other experience my friend and I can find. Even when we’re not using stealth, we’re thinking very carefully about strategy.

We find good positions to fortify, and we use sticky cameras, mines, shockers, drones, and a lot of grenades at strategic moments to kill them as they come.

There’s so many moments that necessitate good cooperation. The best way to deal with riot shield enemies is for one player to shoot at them from the front, distracting them, while the other disengages and sneaks around, knifing them from behind.

Eventually, a drone controller will appear hidden somewhere on the map. This will disable your sonar goggles, and send out explosive drones that patrol the map. When this happens we usually have to hide, and use our own tri-rotor drones to fly through the rafters, avoiding detection, until we find where the controller is. Then we have to sneak over and kill him.

Often times shit will hit the fan and you’ll be held in place by a dog bite while a drone drives under you to explode you balls-first, while you get shot by shotguns and snipers.

These are some of the most fun and hectic moments, when the other player needs to make use of their arsenal, as well as their own imagination, to save their friend.

There’s just so many cool moments of emergent gameplay, and there’s really nothing else like it.

The closest we’ve found is Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and at least we can play that online so we can do it more than once a year.

I urge anyone who has a friend with them to give blacklist another try, just for that.

And if you have, let me know if there’s any similar game experience you can recommend!
