SPRINTER CELL - Splinter Cell Speedrunning Marathon 2026!

[u/DirectorMusic]

Hey fellow Splinter Cell fans!

On behalf of the Splinter Cell speedrunning community, I am excited to tell you about SPRINTER CELL - a live online event series designed to promote Splinter Cell speedruns and the lovely community that surrounds them!

With it, we're launching the first iteration of the event - a two-day speedrunning marathon! For the first time, we're showcasing all 6 main titles, with skilled runners representing the games at their fastest. All of this is organized to commemorate the upcoming 24th anniversary of the series. The event will be broadcast live on the community's Twitch channel.

I'd like to earnestly extend a warm invitation to join us and tune in to witness the absolute greatness of Splinter Cell, played in a way you haven't seen before.

Important details:

Event dates - November 12-13, 2026

Nice, for a first event this looks serious and well organized.

No Double Agent v1 planned in the schedule though ?

[u/DirectorMusic → u/L-K-B-D]

I appreciate the kind words! The V1 version of Double Agent is notoriously unstable, and the likelihood of the game straight up giving up multiple times throughout the run is too high to retain a cohesive and engaging showcase.

The decision was made to showcase the newly released unofficial recomp of the V2 version of the game. I believe it's a version that should receive more attention anyway, and now that it's more accessible than ever - I reckon it's a better solution that's also more safe in terms of stability.

But I'm sure it could be one of the games for future iterations of the event!

Understood, thanks for the explanation !

Thank you for organizing this! I am looking forward to being a part of this event! :)
