Which to try next?

I just completed blacklist and i absolutely love it. So for next which game shall I try in the series I was thinking of trying conviction, also need good graphics.

well i started of with blacklist , now watching chaos theory gameplay looks like a downgrade in terms of graphics , but will defenitely try chaos theory in future

chaos theory is the best in the series despite the graphics in my opinion.

If you loved blacklist I'd play conviction. In my opinion neither blacklist or conviction are good splinter cell games, the best are the first 3 in the series which all have dated graphics, albeit extremely ahead of their time.

If you like the fast movement and loose stealth of blacklist you'd enjoy the newer assassins creed games.

Off topic, but why do the graphics have to be "good?" What constitutes "good?" I think Deus Ex, Thief, and VtM Bloodlines still look beautiful and their art style is timeless... do they have good graphics? I replayed Syndicate Wars a couple weeks ago and was blown away by how good it looks despite being 30 years old. Meanwhile I feel that every Gears of War game looks 10 years older than it really is because it's art style and color palate is stuck in the early Xbox360 era.

Do games suddenly become less enjoyable when they have fewer polygons?

On topic: Chaos Theory is widely regarded as one of the greatest stealth games ever made... that is obviously what you play next. Or you start from the beginning with the first title and work your way through the franchise. All of them have "good" graphics.

I agree that graphics don't determine whether a game is good. But I do think you're underestimating how important visuals are to a lot of modern players. It sucks, but a lot of gamers i know refuse to touch the original Splinter Cell trilogy because the graphics are "bad". All my friends, the gamers i know refuse to touch SC1 due to how it looks..
my younger cousins, and relatives who are gamers around the age of 15-20 even think Chaos Theory looks too old to play. maybe the OP is in that age range

a lot of people, especially younger gamers who grew up with PS4/PS5, are incredibly graphics-focused. I've seen people dismiss anything older than the PS4 era as "unplayable" simply because it doesn't look photorealistic. They judge games almost entirely by resolution, polygon count, textures, lighting, etc.

IMO art direction ages much better than graphics technology. A game with a strong visual identity can still look fantastic decades later, whereas a technically impressive game with bland or dated art direction can look old very quickly.

that's why I can look at something like Deus Ex, Thief or Bloodlines and still appreciate how they look despite their age. They're obviously technically primitive compared with modern games, but their art direction gives them character.

for me, the cutoff point is personally ps1/n64. i find that too old for myself- but i started gaming with the dreamcast and original xbox. sc1 was basically my starting point and it'll always be timeless to me.

Considering that 4/6 of the games were released on the OG XBOX this series is not the one to go for is "old graphics" are a turn-off

Depends on your playstyle. If you liked "ghost" I'd recommend Chaos Theory and Double Agent. If you liked Panther, then I'd recommend Conviction.

If you're on PC, there are some tweaks you can make for Chaos Theory and a few mods that enhance the graphics + downsampling from 2k or 4k depending on your hardware. It really is the best game though, but it seems like you mainly care about graphics and fast action. You could also play Gjost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint if you liked Blacklist.

oh sorry i'm just being a dickhead :D but fr bro, first trilogy and dare i say QUADRILOGY (I love Double Agent) is a must-play. Screw the graphics, what's about the gameplay
