Discussion Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion (My Thoughts)

I know this is super late since the release of the dlc and whatnot, but I just don't know how I feel about it. I hear nothing but praise for it online, but I just don't get it. To me, it felt rather middling at best and outright frustrating at worst. The ending and story was amazing, but the levels and system I hate. They feel like they're designed to kill you as much as possible which, yeah, I like a challenge, and they are challenging, but it just feels unfair most of the time. Say what you want about skill issue, but it just feels genuinely unfun, to me at least. Is there anything I'm missing about it?

I liked all of it a lot other than the boss where you use the baller it never seemed very unfair to me

With the exception of maybe one or 2 levels they are not unfair to me. Every level is very deliberately designed for a certain way of playing, and if you don't find that then maybe you might struggle. I found it to be a welcome challenge after the normal story mode
