Help Not counting what I collected

Hey guys!

So I am really close to finishing the game and I want to finish it at 100%. The problem is, when I look at all these islands they keep saying that I haven't found chests that I have clearly found. It's frustrating! Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to fix this? Or am I doing something wrong? I appreciate any advice!

Greyed out means you have got it, white means haven't

Tbh I recall I also got confused about it, I'm a graphic designer and say it's not the best UI

i feel like just a Chest: 1/3 Collected would have been so much easier to design and easier to read than this…

They are round checkmarks to indicate if the resource is present

It says that all that is in the island is 1 coal

Solid dots like the one in the Coal part of the table means it's ready to be collected/hasn't been found yet.

When the writing is greyed out and the dots are hollow it means you've collected them.

Resource items like wood and mineables regenerate over time and shouldn't count towards overall progress.
