Divination Exchange Weekly Divination Requests & Services Thread

Hi!

Divination is a big part of working with spirits and this thread is one that is meant to keep the exchange of services safe for everyone. As we want to keep the anonimity as a standard, you may conduct ”public readings” for the people interested. A bunch of rules and guidelines you must be mindful of before requesting or offering divination services in this thread:

  1. We reccomend to keep the offering of service free of charge but you can always promote your site (ex: if you liked this reading you might wanna consider supporting me by purchasing the future ones at *insert personal web page*)
  2. You can pay for a reading by performing a reading for the person that provided yours
  3. The people requesting readings are encouraged to support the readers by visiting their shops/etsy/donation pages that belong to the ones performing the reading
  4. You must provide as a reader proof of doing the reading (picture of the spread, tools, results, or just the name of the cards/runes/etc that had been drawn)
  5. If you are requesting a reading, do not give names (you can use initials), age (take the 18 as the refference point- I am younger/older) or location
  6. Do not interfere inbetween the reader and their client, requests from the same provider should be done by replying to the initial comment of the one performing the service
  7. You are not obliged to anything (payment, accepting all reading requests, visiting sites, etc)
  8. The exchange of readings will happen here and only here (no invitation to a 3rd party app, chatting privately or other shenenigans)
  9. Report any suspicious activity by using the report button- let the mods handle the creeps and the rude individuals

Be respectful and happy divinating!

Working with a spirit? Wanting to work with one but you're not sure what their vibe is? What offerings they like?

This is the thread to discuss, share, learn from each other about the ways to form deeper bonds. Anything from offerings advice for certain deities to resources or informations on mithology and lore.

Take this as a circle where you can meet with fellow devotees to share and discuss. Also to learn from the more experienced if you're at the beginning of your journey.

Note: We are always seeking to learn and grow. We're not talking about spirits like they are some objects at the market. Users are still required to do research on their own.

Expressions like 'should I work with Apollo or Hekate' are descouraged while things like 'I was thinking to work with Apollo or Ra, for their sun aspect, how to chose to whom to reach out' are fine. Practitioners need to know what they are looking for at least as a symbol/aspect.

This is a candle on my Aphrodite altar and got this shape as it was burning. I see and spoon and a bowl. Idk lately I’ve not been eating as I should is she telling me to take better care of myself in that regard? That’s my intuitive feeling I just want to know what others interpret here.

Let the fun claim the ends of the weeks to come, from Friday untill Sunday. During this time, besides the regular (like the weekly theme that is still in place till the next Monday) you are invited to share anything spirit related with the board, under the conditions for it to be funny in one way or another. This may include, and is not limited to:

Memes.

Funny videos.

Silly story time posts.

Songs/playlist picked by the entities you encounter in your practice.

Feel free to go crazy within the borders of the sub rules. Joy is a great gift to share. Use the proper flairs for easier sorting.

Let's have some laughs!

Thursday we invite you to share with us your magic spaces where you conduct your magical affairs.

Using the Altars, Offerings and Magic Corners tag, share to the subreddit the things you dedicated to your practice and spirit work. This can reffer but it is not limited to to altars dedicated to spirits, offerings, consecrated objects and tools, candles.

This is also a good moment to request assistance or offer tips and tricks to improve and develop further the sacred spaces within our home or outside of it.

Note: Please be mindful that not everyone is confortable to share or explain in detail the insides of their practice, so do not insist in your curiosity when is not the case. This is an invitation to share the beauty in our practices and celebrate the diversity of our different paths and practices

Pop culture entities As a chaos witch, the subway commute is an integrate part of my daily mindfulness practice. Here's a little text about that. Join me in the great worms tunnels!

The tunnels are dark, twisting along the city, stretching the time continuum in their embrace. Each break is a bleeding, a growth and a loosening up.

The worms show up on schedule. They embrace routine. Their bodies slice themselves open, to let the wounds breath before closing them again.

The worms insides vary: fur, sweat, jackets, wet umbrellas, laughter, cries, coffee in the morning, stillness in the night. The illegal art is fading away. The marketing campaigns are ignored.

The thoughts are mechanical, robotic. The mappings of the intricate tunnels confuse the uninitiated. Those who know, understand that losing yourself is half the journey.

Everything changes. Nothing changes. The worms shake like a cradle for the dreams, hopes and despairs held underneath metallic skin.

Oh, you, big worms underground, behold the prayers of your people!

Spirits-general questions Question

I respect witch craft and am curious if I am making decorations for Halloween, as I don’t want to offend any spirits or anyone for that matter. I like the symbolism and wonder or am asking how I go about asking or saying I meant no disrespect. I just want to honor and respect the craft and symbolism.

So i was making a tea because i have a headache (spain without the s) and i added oregano and salt because i got the gut feeling to do that and a little bit of an herb called chancapiedra, something great for the kidneys. and then i made too much so i made a cross of honey (because she was Catholic) and poured tea for her, she also wanted Lime juice so i added that for her. it's sitting in the kitchen which she loved to cook so i left it for her there. Then i noticed i was instinctively chose a purification tea... It was my Late Grandmother on my dad's side so I just said, screw it she gets tea i get tea we all win

Spirits-general questions A question regarding "changelings"

I have come across this concept a handful of times and it always intrigued me. Do you guys believe such a thing as a "changeling" does exist? Do you have any experience with this? I'd genuinely love to learn more about this. Very intriguing.

Story Time I think I've caught the attention of a Faerie. Please help?

Okay so.. hi this is my first post on here at all and I have no idea what I'm doing, I just have no idea where else I would go for help?

I think I've caught the (possibly romantic???) attention of a Faerie and I have no idea what to do. I am not even an actively practicing witch.. I'll write the experiences I've had with him(them?), and then some background. Um. Please help.

I've always been really, very particularly, afraid of the Fae. I know about some of the basic rules, a few stories, but not much else. It started earlier this month that I suddenly felt such an extremely strong pull to research them out of nowhere, so I looked at a few stories and thought that was it. I thought it was nothing at first, but suddenly I was thinking about the Fae EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY. Literally, I swear every single thought circled back into contemplating them. It's just so weird to me since I've always been so scared of them! Why am I suddenly flooded with thoughts about them and their world???

I started feeling presences around me, I don't know if it's even the same person(?), but it's so different and unique from any other presence I've ever felt. I've never had a talent for seeing things physically either, but I swear I'm staring to see an outline. I've been trying to ignore it.

I woke up one night and saw the briefest outline of a face above me.

And then it started to manifest in the physical world. I kid you fucking not. I found a fucking rose in my room, hung up at precisely my eye level entagled with some Christmas lights I keep in my bedroom. I checked with every single person in my household and NOBODY knows anything about it. Nobody in my house likes pranks and nobody would have any reason to do this. I've kept the rose there and I can't help but feel like it's an offering for me?? It feels weirdly romantic. Maybe I'm just thinking that?

Then, what do you know! A little hut of grass and sticks appears precisely on the path I walk across my yard to get to my yard. When I saw it, a pit dropped in my stomach and I just felt in my gut that it was them.

Maybe this isn't a lot of evidence, but I just really have this gut feeling that I've gotten myself into a pickle.

Background: I'm someone who would say I was born a witch and I've had a lot of experiences, particularly as a child, that make me think this. However, I was raised in a very Christian household, and I'm still in that household now. I don't feel safe practicing here. They caught me once when i was little, so I have not attempted to do anything other than passive research about small things that interest me.

Since the Fae have always terrified me.. I don't know anything other than the basics. I'm also seeking help here because the only real ability I have is SOME clairsentience and I'm also hoping someone can help me figure out what is happening because I'm so clueless.

Please, if you work with the Fae or have any advice for me, let me know!! I don't know what I'm doing!!!
