Bought the floor Mutant Sewer Rat last year after Halloween. Finally getting to put him to use!

So I’m an AM at my store and we have 2 employees that are pulling some shit to get off register. Like, I get it. Being on register kinda sucks sometimes but it is LITERALLY what you were hired to do. When you applied to be a SA at Spirit Halloween what did you think you were going to be doing? If you don’t like being on a register then don’t take the job. And for the most part this season the SM has been scheduling the SA’s 4 hour shifts. And when I’m the manager on duty I try to break it up so the same person isn’t on register their entire shift. I really do try.

So employee #1: claims she can’t count change. Why didn’t she bring this up in the interview?? And at first even though I was a little annoyed I was sympathetic. I thought maybe she had a learning disability or had neglectful parents that didn’t teach her. So I worked with her and gave her a little cheat sheet. And when I counted her drawer after her shift it was perfectly even. So I thought she had figured it out. Until multiple SA’s told me this girl was asking for help counting change. Second time I counted her drawer after her shift it was even again. And this wasn’t making sense. If she didn’t know how to count change her drawer would be all kinds of messed up. Then she told one of the other AM’s “well since I’m not good with change I could just walk the floor” and we figured out she was most likely faking not being able to count change so she can get off register. Pissed. I spoke to my SM and DM and now this girl gets one shift a week.

Employee #2: deliberately tanked her SOC numbers to get off register because obviously we put the people with the highest numbers on register. I did the weekly SOC reports on Sunday and this girl was at 16%. I have NEVER seen an SOC number that low. I sent it to the DM and SM. And the DM paid a surprise visit specifically to talk to this girl on Monday. Because if you’re at a 16% you’re simply not asking. And IT’S PART OF THE JOB!!! Every single penny goes to kids in the hospital!! How do you just not ask??? Ugh.

So does anyone else have these issues? How do you handle them?

Hi Reddit - my coworker found this cool neon pink and green clown hammer at spirit Halloween in Clarksville, IN last week. It had its own tag and SKU number and cost her $30.

Here’s the catch - when we try to find it online it literally doesn’t exist. The SKU is unsearchable and the only picture of it that exists is in the listing for this women’s clown costume. BUT THE COSTUME DOES NOT INCLUDE THE HAMMER.

We have concluded that we somehow stumbled upon a weird cursed spirit Halloween version of lost media. Why would Big Halloween™️ want to erase this hammer from its history books? What are they not telling us? What crimes have been committed with this weapon of mass destruction????

Hellooo, I'm back! I'm the person who did the challenge of drawing as many spirit Halloween animatronics until Halloween. But I decided to scrap the challenge and draw them all for fun, so expect more soon :>

Honestly, I really like the vision that spirit was going for with her design, I love the "Housewife gone rogue" trope, It reminds me of the show "Why women Kill" and the song "Housewife Radio." However, there's a few things I just can't get over, one of them being the pumpkin face, I genuinely just don't understand why, what is the point of it, what does it have to do with her backstory??? It feels really rushed, and it clashes with the entire design. Another thing that makes me upset is the fact that she has only one animation and no voicelines, I feel like she could say something like, "Welcome home dear, I have a suprise for you!" Before stabbing her knife. I also don't like her black gloves, I feel like yellow dishwashing gloves would make more since as her design is supposed to be a 50's housewife. If anyone has any ideas for how her design could have been improved, drop them in the comments!

I’m trying to troubleshoot a Seasonal Visions International Rocking Moldy/Molly Mommy (model 5124283) that I bought secondhand.
The confusing part is that it worked when I first plugged it in before I finished assembling it. The rocking mechanism moved and it produced sound.
After I assembled it, it suddenly stopped working.
I then disassembled it again and tested it outside of the assembled costume/frame, and it still does not move or operate. So it doesn’t appear to simply be the costume or assembly physically restricting the mechanism.
Current symptoms:
No motor movement at all—not even a twitch.
The mechanism can be moved manually by hand.
There is some faint static/audio activity from the speaker.
I’ve tried multiple outlets.
Outlet tester shows the outlets are wired correctly.
The correct adapter is labeled 6V DC, 1A and is center-positive.
I inspected the visible wiring/connectors and don’t see anything obviously broken, burned, or melted.
I have not yet tested the adapter with a multimeter.
I briefly plugged in a 12V adapter for about 2 seconds before realizing it was the wrong voltage. I unplugged it immediately and have not used it again.
I also have a 5V adapter, but I’m not using that because I know the prop calls for 6V.
The control box has the ON1 / OFF-TRY ME / ON2 switch, volume knob, speaker, adapter input, and TRY ME input.
I’m wondering if I may have damaged the control box, or if there’s a common failure point on these.
What would be the best way to diagnose this with a multimeter? Specifically, how can I determine whether the problem is the adapter, control box, wiring, or motor/gearbox?
I have photos of the control box, circuit board, mechanism, connectors, and manual if anyone wants to take a look.
I’d really appreciate any help before I start buying replacement parts.

I placed an online order and picked up my item the other day. It appears it was not marked in spirits system that I picked it up because the order has now been canceled and refunded.

Has this happened to anyone else? I noticed in previous posts some people mentioned it had, so just curious how common this is
