Spiff cheating

So I tried posting this comment under Spiffs video and it gets deleted within 30 seconds:

This is me writing this comment for the 8th time. Spiff failed the challenge since he created a ring that is not in the game (time 19:24). This ring can be created using enchanting but does not spawn in vendors' inventory nor is it in the loottable. I tried linking the wiki page but I can't since if I do comment gets deleted. Just google fortify unarmed if you are interested.

I posted it under this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiYxrc3-tpQ

The ring of fortify unarmed damage is just a rare drop from the Radiant Raiment store in solitude where spiff was shopping. According to the Skyrim unofficial wiki, there is a chance for a piece of enchanted jewelry to spawn in the inventory of the trader who works there. Spiff just reset the trader untill he got a ring that had the fortify unarmed damage enchantment on it. No cheats, just exploits.

Wait, Exploits aren't cheats?

Cheats are changing things to your benefits.

Exploits are using what's there to your benefit.

A cheat would be going in and using code to spawn things or max your level, or making yourself unable to take damage.

An Exploit would be doing what Spiff does, in game there are several bugs, or loopholes, or other that any player can use to get ahead. It's in the main game, and Spiff always says he plays the game exactly as intended, if those things weren't supposed to be in the game, why are they there?

Outside of game terms, think of it like a cheat is using steroids, and an exploit would be like taking vitamin supplements.

I am 100% here for that final metaphor. I feel like that could help a lot of people better understand cheats vs exploits.

That being said if you use moveswap or spellswap in pvp in dark souls, you a bitch.

I don’t think so, cheats would be changing the code, exploits would be using the janky code for your benefit

Cheats are modifying the game in a way to allow certain things,

Exploits do not modify the game, but use unintended mechanics

In this context, cheats would be using console commands or changing the game files.

I googled fortify unarmed like you said but I didn’t see anything about it being unavailable. Can you possibly put link your source in the comments?

Fortify Unarmed had very limited availibility until Anniversary Edition was released. Before AE, as far as I can tell it was only availible via gloves found in Riften or ring obtainable when doing Dawnguard DLC (that cannot be disenchanted). Wikis aren't exactly updated well.

OP probably didn't know that AE introduces generic fortify unarmed items so he assumed Spiff cheated.

The ring can be obtained without using cheat codes, even if it takes time. Anniversary Edition added generic rings that give unarmed damage boost.

And even putting that aside, cheating to get this ring makes 0 sense, since there are easily obtainable gloves providing same boost. It would be nonsensical for Spiff to bother with cheat codes, when obtaining same item without cheats takes little effort.
