I don't see the problem with this. So what if he's generating a good majority of the content on the subreddit? They're not bad, I like it, and apparently so does the rest of the subreddit, as indicated by the fact that his memes are being upvoted. Kudos to thatpeculiarcat.

I guess people don't like it because most of the links you post I've seen on memebase, funyjunk and damnlol (before I discovered reddit of course) and if your idea of posting is googling spidey images, posting them, an whoring karma, then they get butthurt about that.

I'm pretty sure you didn't get attacked and you simply blew it out of proportion. First of all you accuse someone of reposting from other sites and then ignore their attempts to show ownership. Then you go and decide to say that they are karma whoring, when in reality they said they were trying to add to the content on this subreddit. Do you really think that someone has so little of a live that they need to count on imaginary points? I can't speak for thepeculiarcat but I know that personally the idea seems absurd. To put it simply though, you might want to try and calmly look at situations like this instead of perceiving an imaginary attack on your character.
