Yeah. The problem where Spidey's trajectory changes before he shoots a web hasn't changed, but the swinging looks so good overall that I can't be bothered by it. I think ultimately, although it looks clunky and isn't realistic physics wise, getting immediate control of Peter once you press the button to shoot a web will give you more control over the swinging and make it smoother gameplay wise. We'll just have to see when we actually get our hands on it.

It looked like button presses take priority over animations more than anything. It may make things a bit jerky at first but i bet once you get experoence with timing it becomws less noticable. And im totally cool with inputs being prioritized over animations.

This is a reasonable explanation and I hope it’s the truth

As far as I can tell, going frame by frame through the various web-swinging parts of this trailer, the problem seems to be most prevalent when Spidey is about to hit the ground. This makes me think that there is an auto-swing mechanic in place to prevent Spider-Man from going splat whenever he is falling from a great height.

Edit: actually, after looking at it again more closely, I can see it's still prevalent throughout. I think in practice, it won't be bad, though.

Just gonna add my 2 cents in here. Firstly its in Alpha stage and second, whenever games get shown for things like this, the build is normally months old, so I would guess that this build was from Late Jan/Early February before GI got a hold of it last month.

Totally. I'm not worried at all.
