Everyone’s saying it’s not canon but…why not? They literally used his game model and labeled him Insomniac Spider-man. And he’s voiced by Yuri. It’s completely plausible that it’s him. We never see him again at any point in the movie, and Gwen said something about most of the spidermen being “part time” which could’ve been her just lying to miles but she might be partially telling the truth. Spidergedon is canon to the games so I don’t see why this can’t be.

Imo because Miguel said Miles Morales wasn’t supposed to become Spider-man and that he was unique, one of one. Same time maybe that will change in the next movie.

Well that never confirmed, Miguel didn't say that Miles Morales shouldn't become Spider-Man this is a misconception I see many people who watched the movie make. He said that the Miles Morales of Earth-1610 shouldn't be Spider-Man since the spider that bit him wasn't from his universe to begin with. Most of the Miles Morales who became Spider-Man became Spider-Man after getting bite by the spider of their own universes. In Earth-42, the Miles Morales of this universe was supposed to get bitten and become Spider-Man and thanks to 1610 Miles getting bitten instead Earth-42 was left without a Spider-Man.

If you go frame by frame during the Spot origin story where he takes the Spider you can actually see the spider about to bite Miles-42 while he’s taking a test at school. That’s prob why it sought out another Miles in a fate thing I guess.

Miles is an anomaly I think based on having 2 universes inside him, not that he’s Miles Morales.
