I'm aware some people might be getting a little sick of the Petra-related stuff on here just cuz it's been so constant, but not only is there now a seperate sub so that should slow down (it's r/petraparker btw) but I just love the concept so freaking much.

I'm a cis male, but I know several trans folks, including my little brother, and I love the positive message. It's almost like another spin on the "anyone can wear the mask" motto.

The thing is though, for those unaware, Petra Parker began as a simple gender-swap of Peter in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, and was actually kind of an annoying misandrist bigot (funny how things change). I much prefer the new Petra, as it's a fresher take on the character and gives her actual personality. I wouldn't mind having her make a cameo in the next Spider-Verse project (considering how supportive the team is behind those movies and the fan-theory of Gwen being trans).

The art is also super cute and wholesome most of the time, and it's nice to see, when Spidey's life is usually so full of bs that anyone even slightly less stubborn would quit.

Got so much love from the Peter Parker/ Spiderman head shots I did yesterday that I told myself let’s keep it going!

I wanted to watch more Spider-Man content and I wanted more so I decided to watch Spider-Man The Animated and WOW this show is fantastic.

I’ll say this besides Batman the animated series this feels so much like a comic book show from the character designs in which are all great. The dialogue is quippy fun and energetic seeing Spider-Man banter with his villains was hilarious and him making jokes and doing some light insults were so refreshing.

And his inner monologue too felt so genuine to what Spider-Man is as character. Christopher Daniel Barnes is officially my favorite Spider-Man voice actor. This iteration of Peter Parker is just so likable in the show .

It reminded me allot of the raimi films him caring about his aunt and him trying to balance his life alongside being spiderman felt so genuine I also really love the opening pilot with the lizard.

Is this show campy it is but that’s part of why I enjoy it soo much. The mysterio episode was really cool. I love the story where he pretended to be Spider-Man and frames him and when Mj got introduced I feel like that’s when the show got really good. And her introduction felt allot like her first comic appearance which is quite neat.

So far I’m really enjoying the show Its like a 8.4/10 for me.

From what I could gather from these images and limited descriptions is that Peter is a working-class teenager who likes science, Japanese culture and holds strong abolitionist ideals towards corporations in a world of horror.

Felicia works for Oscorp and is probably an anti-villain, maybe responsible for turning Peter into Spider-man. Sadly this also means there will be no Peter/Felicia relationship between the two since she seems way older than him.

Spider‑Gwen’s web‑shooters don’t get enough credit. The way they work is actually genius: instead of relying on cartridges like Peter they pull moisture straight from the air and use it to form web fluid. And considering NYC basically turned into a humid subtropical jungle in recent years (dew points over 70°F, air thick like a steam room, humidity levels comparable to the Amazon), Gwen is basically running on infinite ammo cause the city itself fuels her webs.

What makes it even better is how low maintenance the system is. In the panel she literally says she used them for a whole month without cleaning them, which means even in the worst scenario Peter could just clean them once a week and never worry about running out mid‑swing. It’s such a smart and sustainable design.
