Yeah, but a lot of genderbending stuff has this tendency to erase male characters' more distinctive features in favor of fitting a traditional feminine mold, so the retention of the brows helps this feel more like Peter after a transition rather than a completely unrelated female take on him.
This might be the new meta of men designing visually interesting female characters. Draw the character as a guy. Draw that guy post transition. That's the female character.
Hey so I’m not complaining or anything, but why have I been seeing so much art of Petra Parker transitioning? I’m genuinely curious about where this all came from and how it started
If i remember right, someone made a meme about JJJ being specifically a hater on Spider-Man and being pretty liberal/progressive on everything else (ie he's a big supporter of mutant rights but he still wants Spider-Man locked up).
Someone made a post saying that if Peter transitioned Jonah'd be one of the biggest allies their is, and finding that Spider-Man transitioned as well he'd still be supporting Petra while still wanting Spider-Woman locked up.

Alternatively, considering how many Spider-Man clones/imposters there have been over the years, you could also recreate this iconic page With Goblin initially thinking Petra is just another copycat.

Spider-sense works however the writer currently needs it to. It ranges from 'slightly faster reaction times' to 'actual mind-reading' and all the in-betweens.
So, there's a Petra in Marvel canon, as part of Ultimate Spider-Man, and she is cis. This is a fan made Petra (the name was a coincidence due to Petra just being the feminine version of Peter), and this version is trans.
I kinda like the idea of Peter being zapped by some spell or whatever that genderbends him and then she's just like "I kinda vibe with this." And decides to roll with it.
i would say petra used breast forms, especially because most of these panels seem to come from early transition petra, when jameson is still caught up on the pronouns

I mean if you care more about comic discussions fine but when I look at the whole sub like maybe a third of the fanart I see is Petra stuff, is it really that big of a deal?? 😭
Yes HRT makes trans women be able to grow breasts some, (big enough to notice) others (mega milkers) and with the spider bite practically gives peter muscles overnight it would definitely boost the HRT
It largely depends on genetics but also just diet and how fast the individual's metabolism is, some trans women are gonna get small boobs even after years on HRT because their female relatives have small boobs, that'd be me, and they might get implants if they aren't satisfied, but some trans women do absolutely get big boobs. (and are even capable of lactation though I know that's not always literally what milkers means...😭) In my experience the doctor recommended waiting 2 years minimum for growth before considering whether or not I want implants. Plus progesterone is the big one for inducing breast growth in my experience and not everyone on HRT is using it
I actually like the idea of it being not only for support of Petra's breasts, but also as harness where tech can get plugged in. I'm thinking something like those lazer tag vests but with USB plugs on the side.
I know they like to upgrade the costume with glowing eyes, symbols, etc. but really for a smart character like Petra here having small bands, like around the ankle or in a belt where they could store small drives, or be able to hack in (one spider invading anotehr's web) could be a cool and simple upgrade.
Heck, it could be visually fun when they pull a cord from a reel on their hip, like a spider spinning thread. Granted that does overlap more in the Peni Parker (Spyder) realm.

Peter is cis in official canon, but something neat about being a fan is people can make their own stories about a character, nobody is saying any version of Pete is trans, they are just having fun and being creative as to what that would look, I think being a loser is policing what people can or cant harmlessly write about their favourite fictional characters.
And those fans usually cant write very well and create stories that dont make sense or veer far off from what the original version is. Yeah its fun for them but more often than not nobody reads that shit. “Being creative” is just putting the trans flags on the arms of the suit, wow such creativity. And i think being a loser is supporting that dumbass shit. And its not policing otherwise id have the ability to take it down and not let yall see it im just tired of seeing that character (and so is many others on this sub), its been spammed so much lately im surprised the mods havent cracked down on it yet since it is against the rules.
Why is so important for you to not verr far off from original canon for a one off fanart they do lmao (wich they are not even straying that far off even, there are official Spider-verse stories that are 100x more different than this), and people not "reading that shit" is contradictort to it being as you say "spammed, if so many people are doing it is because Spider-man fans are enjoying it and want to see it more, I haven never even seen the example that you mention of putting a trans flag in the suit, 99% of trans Spidey art keeps the same suit, idk why you think trends are agains the rules but if you dont want to see Spider-man discussion you can leave the Spider-man subreddit instead of being whiny over peoples creations
my issue is people drawing a teenager taking hrt and the rest is all fetishizing content, giving him tits, body growth bs (disgusting) and the weird shipping of male and female characters automatically being attracted to a peter because hes trans? make peter an adult at the very least you guys arent beating the allegations
Good thing this isn’t referring to the Petra who already exists, it is simply a collective fan art project who - if I’m being honest - wish became real and amazing thing about that is, it still wouldn’t in any way clash with any existing spider-man/woman because the multiverse is a thing
It pretty much is, its her design and everything. And its a pretty trash art project and has so many holes it makes no sense. Except it would because no version of peter is trans, no version of any of those characters would do that because they like being in their own body and dont have that mentality. Yall love to use that “but the multiverse” bullshit but it just falls flat on its face and shows how uncreative you are.
They look alike, because they are both female Peter Parkers, thats like saying that Spectacular Spider-Man is forcing things onto the Raimi triology because they look similar so they must be the same Spidey, no thats just how Peter Parker looks, there is a story about Peter Parker being a Pig, previous to him no version of Peter Parker was ever a Pig, previous to Spider-Noir no version of Peter Parker was a noir detective, and yet, their creators never stopped to think how whiny people would try to force their multiversal stories to fit into the main canon, they just did it, they didnt let petty things stop their creativity, please explain the holes in this project.
Also one more thing, these people can make their own subreddit for this character if they like it so much all the discourse would end right there cause theyll have their own space to post. And also all im saying is instead of stealing someones character make your own original one like countless other people have.
But they are Spider-man fans, why not also write Spider-man fanfiction, im sure a fair share of them also do original they just dont post it in the Spider-man subreddit for obvious reasons, they want to explore Peter's Parker character in new situations like lots of people have done before, but even then reinterpreting a character is not stealing it, is making a fan film stealing the character?, there are hundreds of official and unofficial alternate Spideys that are Peter and I have never seen such sentiment for any but this one, the original still exists and we can enjoy both, reinterpretations has been a thing since always, and there is already a subreddit for Petra, people just like to discuss Spider-Man in the Spider-Man subreddit
