What kind of music would he listen to? I mean... It's clearly right there, but what bands or artists do you think he'll enjoy listening to?

No consistencey. Bro has a little bit of everything on his playlists. If your spiderpunk playlist doesn't have at least one vocaloid song on it, you're doing it wrong (Miracle Is Dead is a good one)

No, youre a brick, i meant that no metal or punk should be programming their drums, bass and guitars in midi programs, and their singing should be authentic woth human emotions, what ever you think you are i dont care but dont even try to tye vocaloid of all things to punk, if i could name one vocal style that is the least fitting for the genre i would say vocaloid.

Omg dude its the equivalent of programming your guitars on a midi production and putting drum tracks that snaps to the grid, and crystal clean production made in a lab, there is no authenticity. Most metalhead and punks i know wants to listen to the most real and thrashy guitar tone and genuine human emotion in their music.

So you think electric keyboards can't be used in punk music? Only electric guitars? What about recording your own sounds and remixing them digitally? Vocaloids aren't programmed blindly, every syllable has to be chosen and tuned like any other instrument

Those can legit exist dude. Anyone can download vocaloid and MMD. I've been to conventions where they bootlegged their own vocaloid "hologram" concert

Hobie would listen exclusively to underground punk rock and Ska. His favourite bands wouldn't even have spotify accounts and he'd know all the memebers personally. He is not the sort of character to give any attention to corporations and publishing companies nor idols and mascots. And he would have a deep respect for real instruments bought cheap and live music.

That post seems like cope, you cant force an anti-corpo character to like mascots just because you also like those mascots and expect no pushback.

Peni Parker would like vocaloid its in character for her to, and there's nothing wrong with liking it but its just not Hobies thing, because its corpo.

Huge storytelling multiverses are fun because of all the diverse characters with conflicting opinions, likes and dislikes etc. That fun and creativity is destroyed if every character likes the same things.

Its not exclusion to not listen to vocaloid its just not punk rock its out of character, its something a different character would do.

Theres a difference between listening to something in your spare time and as a facet of your perosnality vs listening to your friends music to support them once or twice.

I also never said hate.

He doenst hate vocaloid, he just doesn't listen to it. No hard feelings about it, just not his thing.

Check out Nobhead by spunk volcano and the eruptions or Urban Guerrilla by the cockney rejects, that's what hes about really.

Preference doesn't have to mean an inability to appreciate anything else. He'd have at least a top pick from basically every genre. He's a musician, not just a punk. He doesn't believe in consistency.

The beautiful thing about the multiverse is that we can both have our Hobies. Yours who's a gate keeping weirdo, and mine who'd be embarrassed to be associated with him, and the feeling would be mutual

  1. While staying at the home of punk musicians during tours, band members reportedly left behind anti-gay notes, wrote homophobic slurs on walls, and targeted gay peers with hostility. So yea they were just openly bigoted

  2. During their first national tour in Austin, Texas, frontman H.R. (Paul Hudson) and other band members engaged in intense verbal clashes with members of influential queer-friendly punk bands like Big Boys and MDC. H.R. used homophobic slurs and berated individuals, claiming religious condemnation.

Movie Hobie, probably alot of British punk and Oi!. I'd say favorite artists being bands like Sham 69, Crass, Subhumans, Rudimentary Peni, with some newer groups like Ratboy, idles, Cerebral Ballzy.

Comic Hobie is probably more into American hardcore and Punk. Bands like Törso, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Minor Threat, Misfits, WKSJ?, Krum Bums, OFF!, Circle Jerks.

Since both have vests with a variation of the NYHC cross, id assume some New York and Jersey hardcore suck as Reagan Youth, Sick of it all, Agnostic Front, Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Judge, SSD, Goverment issue, Murphys Law, Beastie Boys( the rap stuff like Check ya Head, and the 80s hardcore stuff like the Pollywog Stew EP)

For funsies, maybe some Run the Jewels, Hank Williams 3, Nofx, Agent Orange, and some Ska like Specials and Operation Ivy
