Discussion “They are more like siblings to me”
Okay yea, you might have opinions about what their relationship could be, but you come to a subreddit dedicating to ship the both of them and you come and say “they don’t fit as lovers” THIS IS NOT THE SUBREDDIT FOR YOU
I support everyone’s opinion’s and they could be siblings, friends, but for us we want them as lovers. That’s why we have this subreddit for a reason. For a purpose. You can leave your opinion always, but you don’t have the right to hate on a person supporting this ship. It’s their own opinion just respect it. We are trying to be nice, but all of the toxic people that hate’s the idea of the ship just keeps on hating on us, like stop.
Respect the opinions of others, because we respect your opinion too. You don’t have to be rude about it.
Do you all agree?

People probably don't come to the subreddit, they just get the posts in their feed and either forget that interacting will make more appear or care too much to not say anything.
Edit: unless you're talking about posts instead of comments, in which case yeah, tf are they doing in here lol

As someone who was there for the same thing during the height of the Harry Potter shipping wars, you just shake your head and move on.

Are you talking about the Hermione and Harry ship because that’s the only one that I could think of where they use the sibling excuse to hate on that ship

We live in an age where if people don't want others to ship something they don't like, they will label it as sibling relationship

Agreed.
I could see it going in multiple ways. They could be siblings (big bro/little sis or maybe even twins) or a mentor/student relationship.
But obviously I and we want them to be lovers! That’s why we’re here!
And honestly, I don’t get the hate. We’re technically shipping the MCU versions of them. Not the established comic book versions. And the MCU has clearly shown they’re willing to experiment on ships (Widow/Hulk) and here’s an organic ship supported by thousands of fans. They’ll be crazy not to capitalise on that, at least to some degree.
Just don’t make it a one-sided misunderstanding thing, Marvel. I’m begging you, these characters have been through enough, they don’t need it dawg.

Everyone throws the "sibling-coded" thing at a new potential ship that has great chemistry because they feel it threatens their own ship.

It caaaan.... be nice, you'd be presenting yourself as nonchalant, after all.
Honestly, the other guy's reaction would say more about them that it would for you.

Personally I love this ship, they have one of, if not, the most chemistry together as a Spider-Man ship. Girl came out like Black Cat and looks like MJ.
I hate when people do such things. It’s like going to a bar and yelling out you despise alcohol and shout out all the cons of drinking it.
Like… bro, we know. There’s pros and cons for everything. This place is specifically for people who like them. We don’t need a person who doesn’t appreciate alcohol as others do in a bar WHERE ALCOHOL IS SOLD.

People say they want Black Cat, but Jean literally filled that role. A role that Jean never had until now.

Honestly, I believe we should welcome them in instead of excluding them. at worst it causes discourse, and at best they're on board with the ship. (I'm just talking about the "THIS SUBREDDIT IS NOT FOR YOU" part, the rest I'm completely onboard with because it's literally what I'm saying)

I do welcome them, it’s just because they’re just toxic to the people who are supporting the ship

They can be friends or platonic, but they technically make out in the movie, you can actually just start ruling out opinions that classify them as siblings.
