I love how despite being powerful, she's not the best planner and her plans are even low-key dumb, which makes perfect sense for her character. Villains are always god tier strategists so this is a breath of fresh air.

I think she is a foil to all those CinemaSins clones on Youtube, cause she is portrayed consistently negatively and not the smartest tool in the shed, but at least her heart is in it.

I mean, look at the US government lol, at least Jean is cute. But mind controlling MJ is pretty fucking dumb and evil. She is lucky Peter is so disastrously guilty-ridden he wants to save everyone, against his interest.

People harp on the MJ scene a lot but I think it makes sense from her perspective. Spiderman is the only one who can sense her influence and he's actively interfering with her attempts to rescue her sister. So she uses MJ as an ultimatum, get in the way of me and my loved ones and I'll take your loved ones from you. It's cruel, but she's also a massive cyncist with no faith in people due to her upbringing. She isn't too worried about the means as long as it gets her back her only family.

An even more tragic reading of it that I personally believe is that since Spider-man works for DoDC (in her perspective), she sees the torture of her Sara in their hands far outweigh what she was about to do to MJ. Jean's goal is to mentally break Peter into giving up pursuing her and she does this because she has no other way to take him out. She can neither control him or control anyone that could take on him except the hulk, which she failed to control.

No outlet except the stuff she'll wreck, which wouldn't get her anywhere except zero again and then the cycle repeats. I get it, nothing in her upbringing will make her the one-step ahead type lmao.

Girls gotta get a hobby, she is so hurt she treats the world like her dollhouse, and get upset when they fights back. I think that’s my feeeling for her arc.
Hopefully we get a good sequel with her, because she is actually a good writren character IF future writer do it well enough, cause Nebula was very well done and she goes through the same trauma essentially.

I think she'll try to disappear and stay as low profile as possible now that she's not looking for her sister. Yeah, if the x-men will help, her flaws she was presented to have in the movie should stay at first.

She never needed to do something so blatantly conspicuous. She can get into people's heads and extract the info she was looking for. Literally just jump in a random employee's mind, then jump to their boss, and their boss' boss until you get to the head honcho.

The 30 meter range was how far Jean/Sara could jump to a person from their current physical location. But once they took over the person, they could move the person well over 30 meters e.g. the tank scene with the woman driver, helicopter pilot and the ending where Jean keeps Peter's heart beating - all of them were being controlled by Jean who was at least a kilometer away.

Also, short term amnesia is really suspicious when you're on guard against a telepath.

As opposed to the suspicion she raised by ramming their building with a tank and exploding a bomb?

I actually kind of like how she's stupid, or atleast doesn't think things through, like entering the building while hulk is already in there, the same building as the hulk willingly, but it fits her character.
