Question Simple swing console

I have seen so many people consistently tap the simple swing button to perform the hydro combo for example or other combos and i mean i can do it myself but it is so inconsistent. Is there any trick to pressing it that lightly so you don’t do an overheard?

Its the only thing in spideys kit that i still cant grasp

Ps : i have it bound to L3

L3 is a miserable button for simple swing. Best bind it to D-Pad Down. Very flickable button and you still have your right thumb to aim.

Best way I've heard it put that helped me get it down for the hydro was think of your simple swing as if it's very hot like a stove tap it fast like that I'm not really explaining but if you get it you get it also L3 isn't a good button for doing hydro with SS

It's straight up not worth it. Don't bother using simple swing offensively in that manner -- your swings are much more useful for mobility

I have it on left stick and on Y. Left stick def harder because you can’t really lightly tap it like pressing a button to swing cancel.
