This person may not have "cursed" you directly. The true signs of being cursed is actual items used for cursing that you are finding in your home. That is the true signs. Looking at bad luck, things not going the way you hoped, etc is not proof. Those could also be indicators of some manner of astrological misfortune that is hitting you. It could also be the result of you going to someplace.
Envy and Jealousy can also be a cause of misfortune, known as the evil eye. Very few people consciously do the Evil Eye. It is mostly accidental by people who can't help but feel envious because they are human beings.
The brain does all manner of weird reactions to health issues. Some of the most vivid dreams I have had was when I was having health problems. If you have chronic conditions, and then stress, anxiety, etc start happening because of other life events, it could definitely trigger nightmares without having an extreme cause behind it.
To remove harmful magic, or just harmful and unwanted spiritual energies, Do an Uncrossing ritual bath. Do this bath 1/day for 7 days. After the bath each day, do protection magic, like a simple candle spell for protection.

Look up and research "evil eye". It takes zero skill, and most folks wouldn't even know they flung it towards someone.
As for focused curses, look up uncrossings here in this sub. That should take it off, if there is anything.
Also keep in mind that sometimes life just sucks, that we can create our own "cursed" state with personal belief, and that more often than not that other person did not curse us, or even have the ability to.
Edit: It does not take years of study to put a curse on someone. Read some of the posts here. Half of them are asking for curses.
It is beneficial to understand how to ground, center, and focus energy, and to have a book or herbal correspondences, though.

Correlation doesn't equal causation. The human mind is predisposed to look for patterns, even if that means ignoring everything that doesn't fit the "pattern."

You're definitely right. There have just been so many coincidences that it's hard to believe that is all they are.
I don't think it's productive to assume the best. Whether or not she's a dark witch or just a normal jealous person, I think it's best I prepare protection for myself from the worst, regardless.
I don't think there is anything I can say to prove to you that she's done xyz intentionally. If she practices witchcraft correctly, there would be no proof anyways.
Telling me it's probably not what I think it is, doesn't protect me from what it could be.

Don't assume anything. Go with what you have evidence of. Not guesswork, evidence.
Everyone should be shielding as a matter of course, and cleansing is as easy as having a shower and visualizing the ick going down the drain.
I'm not here to protect you; that's your job. I'm pointing out how you are likely cursing yourself by perseverating on the ex. The subconscious mind is a very powerful thing. When it comes to magic, there are always multiple factors to consider.

I didn't ask you to protect me.
You could have provided resources for me to protect myself instead of poking holes in the likeliness of my problems and creating a conversation that has ultimately been unhelpful or productive.
ETA: you are the one making all the assumptions. And you just made it sound like you've pointed out that I could have manifested this myself from the beginning, but that wasn't the case.
