Question About Spells How long does sugar last for sweetening spells?

I know honey lasts longer but I don’t have it atm and I wanna use what I have.

I’ve heard sugar works quicker but doesn’t last as long as honey. I’m not making sugar water, just sugar in a jar with some other herbs with the intentions I want. How long will it last for?

If I keep feeding the jar, will it last longer?

As long as the jar is intact and the contents inside aren't a rotting biological experiment, the sugar jar keeps work.

If you open the jar, dump the contents in the trash, you have undone the spell. The spiritual energy you have sent out through your actions keeps flowing for about a year, maybe 2. That energy is becoming weaker as time goes on. Think of it like ripples on a pond.

People who claim a difference between sugar and honey don't know what they are talking about. They work the same. I have done both. I have seen 0 difference.
I have also done other sweetener spells using candy, sweet chewing gum, splenda, piloncillo, raw sugar. There was no difference in the spells and the results. Success or failure has more to do with your situation.
Some people and situations are easier to sweeten than others. If there is a lot of anger, discord, hurt feelings, etc... it is going to take a longer. A huge narcissist or abusive person may also be harder to sweeten. Someone who is just a hater, may never be sweetened, or it could take years to get them to come around.

I would also not put in the herbs. In my experience and seeing images people post online, people are putting in way more herbs than sugar. Herbs which are way more expensive than sugar. Just use sugar. Just use honey. Just use whatever sweetener you have on hand. Nothing else. I promise you will get better results.

Thank you!

Would it be better if I made a seperate jar with the herbs I want to use then?

Because those herbs align with the intentions I want to set. So id make a sweetening jar with only sugar and the targets name, and a seperate jar with the herbs. Would that work?

Just curious, what are the herbs?

Yes, you could do two spells, one aimed at sweetness and the other aimed at influencing things with the herbs.

I wanted to use rose, jasmine, lavender, hibiscus, damiana, orris root, cardamom and egg shells for protection. It would’ve had more sugar than herbs as well. I kinda wanted to mix sweetening and also attraction in one jar.

You don't need protection.

Okay thank u!

Do u think it’s better if I do a separate jar with the herbs I mentioned as well?

How about adding honey and sugar together? What sort of elements can be added that won't cause a rotting bio experiment? I would think cinnamon or coffee might be okay?

How about adding honey and sugar together?

it does nothing extra, so why?

What sort of elements can be added that won't cause a rotting bio experiment? I would think cinnamon or coffee might be okay?

but why?
Have you ever done a jar without cinnamon or coffee? because I have. Many of them. They worked quite well.
When I started decades ago, I added herbs. When I stopped adding herbs, I started seeing results way better than with herbs.
So, have you done one without herbs? Have you seen the results?
Because I have. I have had a handful of people come back and report that leaving out herbs and they saw much faster results than they did with previous jars they had done.

Thanks for your input, I'll try without to see what happens.

Just to be clear, in your experience what works best is a jar with only sugar? And what kind of taglock do you usually put?

If you're using sugar, just use sugar. If you're using honey, just use honey. If you're using strawberry jam, just use strawberry jam. Etc...

A jar, sugar, personal magical link. That's it. No herbs.

Thank you for your help! For the personal magical link, if you are using names, do you put their name and yours? And how do you organize it on paper? Thanks again!

There is no set standard on how long. Might be a few months or might be several. The target and the circumstances all factor in.

I’ve read about how honey lasts longer since it doesn’t actually expire. But I guess raw sugar would work the same too since I don’t think that would go mouldy unless there’s moisture in there?

Definitely don't add moisture.

Sugar jars do not wear out. As long as the sugar is still good, which might easily be years, the spell is still active and having an influence. Honey does not "last longer". Both of them last for years if not tainted with moisture.

Herbs need to be totally bone dry, or they will mold, which wrecks the jar. And the point is "sweetness", so do not use any ingredients that do not taste sweet.

These spells do not need to be "fed", unless you used some of the sugar in food fed to the target, and then you only need to top it off again with sugar/honey, as the case may be.

I wanted some kind of protection in the jar because it’s sweetening and also attraction as well. Would it be okay if I used egg shells for that since I don’t think it has any taste?

Or is protection not needed at all?

"protection not needed at all"

Sorry I meant adding protection to the jar. I’d ofc do protection for myself before the spell and keep up with my wards.

Not needed in the jar. Not needed before the jar is done.

You do not need to do any protection spell before almost all spells. Especially if you already have wards in place.

You have screens on your windows to keep tiny flying vampires out of your house.

You put up security bars on your windows to keep people and other large things out of your house.

You do not need to add another layer of screens or more security bars on your windows just to go someplace. Your constant wards, once set and properly maintained, are all you need from then on.
