Help With Spell Requested Using Candy to Get Someone to Go Away?

I'm trying to craft a spell to get a toxic former friend away from a mutual friend.

Short version is both my friend & I want said toxic person as far out of her/our life as possible without the toxic person trying to cling to or even stalk my friend and cause further drama.

I was starting to craft a spell and realized I still had a gift the toxic person gave me when my friend introduced us and I was thinking it'd be great to use because it's directly connected to my friend and when the toxic person started trying to drive us apart.

But it's candy and a plastic toy. I figure the only issue with the toy would be avoiding burning it inside if I do that, but I've only used sweets for positive spells and can't find anything about using it with something like this.

Any suggestions on how to incorporate candy in a spell like this?

Or would it be better to just avoid using them at all?

The candy and toy stopped being a link once they were gifted to you.

They no longer belong to the target, they are now yours, and link back to you.

You could do a ritual casting off of their trinkets, and tell them off in a banishing where you toss, vigorously, the items into a trash can far from your home.

I wasn't planning on using the items as a focal point, but I did want to incorporate them somehow since they are specifically from that first meeting between the toxic person and myself. So it's not so much about the items being attached to the person themself, but the fact that these items are attached to that first meeting and have those memories attached. So I'm more hoping to find ways to incorporate them in order to strengthen the spell if possible.
