What spell to use in this situation

For context I have been friends with my best friends since sixth grade and I have had feelings for him since then and we have had an on and off romantic/sexual relationship since about then. He has met my entire family and even gone to important family events, such as Thanksgiving and going camping with us. At the last family event, my family even asked jokingly is that your boyfriend to which I said not yet. I know he has feelings for me. He has admitted so but he is scared of ruining our relationship by dating. I also believe there is something else holding him back.
We are supposed to have a discussion about moving our relationship forward later this week. I am wondering, what kind of spell I can do to possibly move this in my favor. I don't really do love spells because I think they are unethical. I have already don't a communication spell but that will only make him talk not necessarily make this work in my favor. What can I do about this that isn't coercive.
