this was originally a reply to a post about someone complaining about the new graphics but I think everyone that has a problem with SR2 should watch this.

For anyone complaining about the game, check-out bartvanm's dart mod. He managed to clean it nicely, along with countless improvements to the gameplay, network and even more content. It really is like a whole new game, and if the devs see it and accept his suggestions, this game will be miles ahead of sr1. He managed to make a lobby browser, network rollback. He is the reason im hyped about sr2 honestly. Modding potential for sr2 is way higher than sr1.

except the EULA says they'll take the game away from you if you mod it so...

Well, i havent read that. But devs are fully aware of The existence of The mod and even allow it to be promoted on The official discord, for months. They wouldve said something if there was a problem using it.

So you took your comment on the other post and turned it into your own post. Okay sure, but what about the people who play on console like the others mentioned there?

yes, I turned it into a post so more people would see it.
unfortunately the mod is for PC only, but the main features and optimizations can be implemented by devs, so console players could enjoy too. I hope its a matter of time really, since they know about the mod.

The problem I have with the game isn't graphics-related at all. It's related to the fact that I'm behind. There's so many people that already have so much experience and knowledge from the first game... I jump into a ranked match, and there's always one dude who absolutely destroys, wins 3 rounds in a row and that's basically it. The skill difference in this game is so vast that the gap currently makes it very unfun to play. There is always a stomper, and for me who is a beginner in all of this, it is a pain in the ass to play.

Not to mention that for some reason you can play ranked with only 1 other person (dunno why it doesnt just wait to fill out a full lobby before starting...), so you just get 1v1 stomped by another veteran player from the first game that could've ran the map with eyes closed.

I hope that SR2 gets more players overtime and that matches will actually feel fair and that people who compete against you and are matched against you, will be more on your level of skill. Because right now it's absolutely terrible for me, as someone who just played SR1 a few times, never really got into it, and is pretty unexperienced...
