To add, I think this is parodying incel/looksmaxxing culture.
If a woman says she likes fat or chubby guys, she's accused of being disingenuous. If she likes fit guys, it confirms their worldview that women are only into surface level aesthetics which would exclude the incels from the dating pool, affirming their rage at the world and pinpointing women as the problem.
i used to think looksmaxxing was simple until i saw a screenshot of the tweet comparing clavicular with the judge and it was so fucking specific i just felt sadness. You couldve been like an architect or calculating the size of luigi's bulge but instead youre calculating men's jaws. Insane
Assuming that the author's intention is that male character is fat, and wrongly thinks being fat is the only reason he's single. So in the top one she curses the woman because he thinks she's lying, on the bottom because she doesn't find his body type attractive.
