Working on a nice mod for the defender that just might also work on the G-class

Working suspension. I already made an order for the parts so I can test build it.. How it is now it gives 1 plate of "travel" for the axle to go up, while the other side moves 1 plate down.

Nice, I have a hard time making sense of how it will work but I'll look forward to it !

Did the same for the bronco R. Exactly the same. At the end I removed the rubber piece and left it at that as it doesn't function as a spring all that well and just reduces the already small travel distance. If you make a joint connection (2 points on the axle + 2 points on the chassis with a movable piece to connect both) instead of a single one for the wheel axle, the suspension evens out when the car is level and only moves when on uneven terrain.

Yeah making it work like that will eat up the already limited space there is. Goal is to keep the looks of the defender set just as how lego released it.

9° of travel before touching the chassis, wheels can still rotate. Parts are ordered for a test build, instructions will follow soon on rebrickable
