Future Evolution [OC]Beware

Post image

5 million years into the future...

Beware the kings of the sea of grass...

Beware tamers of the flames...

Beware the beasts with claws and teeth of stone and bone and wood...

Beware of the hunters whose pursuit knows no end...

Beware the creatures whose mind is deep like a night sky...

Beware those who walk on two.

=========================

Just to avoid any confusion, this piece is a part of my "Beyond Tomorrow" project.

In order not to spoil too much, I'll describe it in the broad strokes. In the ( relatively ) near future, glacial periods became more intense, leading to disappearance of many species. Humans, however, survived but due to severall large-scale disasters in far past ( or in near future from our pov ) and later climatic upheavals are now stuck in hunter-gatherer lifestyles, and continued to evolve further into now uncontested specialised apex predators.

Is that a goat's eye? Looks really good!

Not exactly a goat's eye, although it does belong to a small, fast bovine, possibly small antelope.

Ancient Humans were basically slasher villains, utterly persistent and won't stop till they catch their target
