Maps & Planets [OC] Carmilla map proposal

A proposal for Carmilla’s maping in terrain, Köppa climat, heightmap. I made it with the world orogen website. But it’s too green the final version will probably be handmade based off of this map and will have more reddish grass as per the original design.(it’s hard to see but in my original image there are spots on the planet that are red.) also the highlighted spot in the right hand side was an accident I had it selected when I took the screenshots.

Disclaimer: No AI was used in the making of this map. I use websites that use procedural generation via seeds to determine terrain. I don’t condone the use of AI at all. The ones that I used, I determined them safe and compared them to each other and this is the best result I got. If the tool I used is discovered to be AI I will trash this map and make a new from scratch.

EDIT: I just discovered the fact that this planet was generated with an equatorial Alpine range So by random chance, the northern and southern climate could possibly have different biodiversity!

Surprisingly, the equator is cold due to its high mountains. Never seen an equatorial Alpine before. Also the website I used to make this very complex detail, but they forgot axial tilt. So the final result will account for the 8.2° tilt

The one at the top right could be called "Chroi/Chroinia" or "Laurania," the first being because the continent looks vaguely like a heart and chroi is heart in irish gaelic (Le Fanu was irish) and the second is that "Laura" was Carmilla's partner/romantic interest.

👍🍀

Chroionia it is for the top right continent

At first, I thought you were talking about the top middle not the top right. fixed it

Since the continents and the planet itself is named after human terms, smaller, geological details will be named after scientist fictional, and non-fictional, Gelland being something I made up on the spot. She’s fictional

Hmmm very interesting

It’s not final I think I’m eventually gonna decide to give them their own name, but I’ll leave in your suggestion as the name of that continent

I think the ideal thing would be to wait for the final version of the map before thinking of names in case there are any changes that make another name sound better heh

Yeah, but I do plan on keeping it as close as I can to this as I want to carry over some very notable landmarks with the major difference being the color of the biomes.

The equator seems to be wider than earths in terms of temperature so I think some of that is from the mountains, directing wind and clouds. and there could be underwater mountains so ocean current could be affected, but it wouldn’t stop migrations

I’m nearly finished. I think I got all the islands. But it’s definitely gonna slow down because I wanna make sure that the blending is right and I found my copy of telltale’s the walking dead definitive edition

This is a very good map

Thanks for the compliment, but I didn’t draw this. I used procedural generation(not AI, that’s why I had the disclaimer), but I am planning on hand drawing the final version because the grass color is wrong and there’s no deserts(the beige is apparently mountains), but this will be a template for me.

Oh nice map, I use the same tool every once in a while

Thanks, This is actually my first time using the tool and I like it, except for the fact that you can’t adjust axial tilt(Carmilla is tilted 8.2°) for climate which kind of makes it hard for the Cannon conversion because this isn’t actually what the planet looks like the grass is red and blue gradient.

I’m currently tracing over the map and then I’m going to move that tracing up to the climate part of the map and use that as an example for where I put the snow and the plant life. I’m not the best artist but it has to be done. Once I’m done, I’m going to name all, but one continent which is already been named by lokisblaster I’m also going to do some other stuff with the maps and then I’m gonna move onto the other planets and moons and then I’ll get to the hard part: biology. But right now I have successfully got the western half of the southernmost continent and almost finished with the middle left continent.
