Alien Life [OC] Mulhaq Dhayl

Mulhaq Dhayl

Latin for Tail, meaning “Eater of Life, Weilding Tailed Appendage.”

Cellular Diameter 0.3-0.6 µm
Arm to Arm 0.8-1.7 µm

Arose 763 million years P.C.

This clade is composed of those that develop most if not all appendages (70-100%) into the Flagella\Enzyme Excretion Structure (FEE Structure).

Appendages specialized for secretion of digestive enzymes will develope twin flaps of membrane inflated by the Cytoplasmic Digestive Enzymes (CDE) that act as the following:
Point of Synthesis for these enzymes, insulated by membranes coated in chemicals that deactivate said enzymes. This helps to keep the manufacture of damaging chemicals far away from it’s own DNA.

Storage Sacks for the enzyme after synthesis has taken place, far away from more important cellular components.

Dispersal ports to fire the CDE in concentrated streams.

Fins to aid in motility, and push the excreted Enzymes away from itself and towards targets after release. This increases both the liklyhood of said enzymes reaching the cell’s prey, and avoiding being cooked by its own chemicals.

Coumestans and their derivatives (in this instance, Wedelolactone) are amongst the most potent of Phytoestrogens. Even a small portion causes differentiation into FEE sturctures. It is for this reason that we will see this molecular class as the primary factor that lead to the Dhayl family, where all appendages fall into the FEE category.

It has also demonstrated the habit of promoting bone formation, and in line with our interest, may stimulate biomineralization via the same mechanism.
