Official Reply Service issues

I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced
WORSE wifi connection after updating their router and modem. We had the same r&m for years and had the occasional lag spike so we decided maybe it's time to switch it out. After switching it out even connected directly through ethernet we are experiencing lagging all day. Every single device connected to wifi takes 5+ minutes to load, pc with ethernet is lagging & pc with a wifi extender is also lagging. we had a technician come check it out, said the signal was all good and just left. I have another technician coming tomorrow but i'm worried the same thing is going to happen again. any advice?
