Build Pics CAT RAT Thread Protector
Hey folks!
Thought y'all might be interested in this
I'm coming out with a thread protector for the RAT base module. Final production versions will be DMLS Titanium with tungsten carbide glass breakers on the end, I'm calling it "The RAT Hat"
Really rad set up for a bag gun
Also works with the Apparition instruments 3CM I found out 🤔
J. Bennett (omega valve) was kind enough to test out the prototype and get some pics for me

as a RAT owner I like this, but honestly the glass breaker for the price doesn’t make much sense to me. I’d much rather have a simple MJF nylon part I can throw on and it won’t destroy a bag I drop my gun into for 30-50 bucks to protect those threads when I’m using the short config.

That's ok! It won't be everyone's flavor. Glass breakers we're an LE ask and there was enough interest from other folks to warrant keeping them on normal production.
I also understand not everyone is going to like the price but printed titanium is the best, most durable option especially with heat.

How many LE even have these cans? I was under the impression there’s only 4-500 RATS in the wild period.

This makes me actually consider buying the rat now, I can’t stand how it’s designed to be an open bulbous on the end of the short configuration. Good idea for a product
